WWE News, John Morrison Exit Diaries (Day 1): JoMo Fed to Wade Barrett on RAW
Big Nasty will be keeping a running diary of what appear to be John Morrison's final days in the WWE. There have been numerous rumblings that Morrison's contract is expiring and will not be renewed. As a result of this, among other circumstances, Morrison has been booked into the ground on his way out of the door.
We've seen this movie before. It previously took the form of a 28-day diary of an unenviable stay in WWE's doghouse, for one John Morrison, that was cut short following a serious neck injury in which Morrison suffered.
Morrison has since returned to the ring in a return that has proven to be as triumphant as that of Guns N' Roses.

Morrison's television victories since Triple H announced his return on RAW can easily be counted on one hand, while his television losses continue to mount to the point of embarrassment.
"JoMo's" frustration was inherent in a series of poignant tweets during the RAW walkout angle. As many WWE Superstars tweeted storyline comments about why they had walked out on WWE COO Triple H, Morrison took more of a real-life approach as he tweeted the following:
"If the WWE universe is paying our checks maybe the pay scale among us independent contractors should be a bit more evenly distributed…maybe forming a union is a good idea… all other entertainment and sporting entities have them…getting an individual health insurance policy after neck surgery is not easy…I wonder if HHH has an individual health insurance plan, or gets group coverage because he’s classified as an employee…
"
Needless to say, after the walkout angle led to Triple H's storyline demotion and WWE Superstars returned to work, it wasn't pretty for Morrison.
In fact, he would go on to take four consecutive heel finishers that night. Morrison had spent previous weeks losing to the likes of Alberto Del Rio and Mark Henry, and just last week he took two pinfalls from the World's Strongest Man in less than a week on both RAW and SmackDown.
Morrison's always-controversial girlfriend Melina was released by the WWE back in August, but that didn't stop her from furthering a hall-of-fame career in controversy as she reportedly took part in behavior that ranged from showing up at RAW as an "unemployed fan," to being implicated in rumors that she had planned to jump infiltrate WWE security and "shoot" during a Diva's match.
Melina has since denied both reports, even going as far as to intimate that her relationship with Morrison may be dunzo, as the kids say.
Should this prove true, it would definitely fall under the "too little, too late" category for Morrison, whose losing streak is internally considered as a direct result of him being linked to such a tumultuous former-WWE talent in Melina.
There was never really any finality to the last doghouse diary due to injury mixed with a hint of ambiguity as to whether or not Morrison was actually in the doghouse. Now, however, all doubt as to Morrison's unfavorable standing with WWE management should be nonexistent.
AUSTIN, Tex. - October 24. After very little fanfare and no entrance, John Morrison is set to square off against up-and-coming star Wade Barrett in the middle of RAW. WWE spent Barrett's quasi-entrance talking up the talented heel's Twitter account in their ongoing efforts to smother the WWE fanbase with pillows filled with the loquacious feathers of the social networking tool.
This isn't going to be pretty.
The match begins when Barrett gives Morrison an elbow but takes a series of kicks and a forearm. Michael Cole, in his infinite incompetence, is using this match to plug photographs he has of Jim Ross.
Morrison dives through the ropes and connects with a forearm to Barrett, but is quickly apprehended and thrown into the barricade as RAW goes to commercial.
The action returns as Barrett is pummeling Morrison. King describers Morrison's feeble attempt at offense as "defenseless" as Barrett rams Morrison into the side of the ring.
The announce team seems content in Barrett's dominance of Morrison as they decide to turn their attention to other issues and assist McMahon in fulfilling his insatiable fetish for Ross through teases of tweeting and photographs.
Right on cue, Morrison begins his comeback. He connects with a knee to Barrett's head, followed by a nifty crucifix maneuver into a rollup for a nearfall.
Morrison charges Barrett and is caught with a sidewalk slam for a nearfall. Barrett goes for his Wasteland finisher, but Morrison fights out of it and goes for Starship Pain but to no avail.
Morrison, however, lands on his feet and connects with a shoulder block in the corner followed by a springboard maneuver.
Barrett tries to catch Morrison off the springboard, but the two botch the would-be finish. Barrett lifts Morrison back up and hits the Wasteland for the win.
Another standard match, and another standard job for a man who very well may be out of one in the very near future.
