Justin Bieber Video: Watch Bieber Unleash His Killer Crossover vs. Steve Nash

Who knew Bieber could ball?

Justin Bieber, the 17-year-old musician that is approaching larger-than-life status, crossed up the opponent's point guard for an easy layup in this clip.

Except this wasn’t just any point guard…it was Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns.

The two-time MVP could only watch as Bieber zipped by him for the easy two. After Bieber scored the bucket, cameras zoomed in on his girlfriend Selena Gomez as the actress cheered on in disbelief.

It was all part of the festivities of “Ludaday Weekend” in Atlanta, Georgia, sponsored by—you guessed it—rapper Ludacris. 

This isn’t the first time Bieber has shown off his moves on the hard court. He took home MVP in the Celebrity All-Star Game back in February as he was slicing up the defense with his quick first step…kind of like on Sunday.

Bieber has a swift first move that forces defenses to catch up, ala Allen Iverson a decade ago. He has the dribbling skills of a young Nash and the shooting touch or Ray Allen and the speed of...OK, I’ll stop now.

I’m not sure how hard Nash was really trying, but this clip does nothing to dispel the public’s opinion on his defense. The difference is we are used to watching him get taking to school by the likes of Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Derrick Rose…not Bieber.

As the NBA lockout rolls on with no apparent end in sight, Nash has to do something. I guess playing against Bieber qualifies.

Now it’s on YouTube for the world to see, and I’m sure Nash is just thrilled to death about it.

As Nash’s illustrious career winds down, maybe it’s time for him to take on a mentor-like role with the up-and-coming Bieber. Maybe he can be the coach that really elevates his game to the next level.

Or maybe Bieber can teach Nash how to sing. Either way, this partnership should not be over after one killer crossover.
