The Era of Leslie Frazier Is Officially on the Clock...And Here We Go
Leslie Frazier has wanted to be a head coach for many years. The road he has taken to achieving this goal led him to Minnesota, and now after a five-month long lockout, he finally gets to show his stuff.
The NFL draft didn't show us what kind of a coach he will be. Reaching for Christian Ponder showed impatience. Letting Kyle Rudolph and Christian Ballard slide to him showed great patience. So up to now, Frazier hasn't tipped his hat too much.
Free agency will be a great indicator as to how he approaches the business side of this sport. Will he be cold but logical like Andy Reid? Or will we see another push over like Wade Phillips?

Free agency is the only thing fans are talking about right now. But if you want to learn what the Vikings regime under Frazier is going to be like, we should pay attention to the training camp period.
Remember when Brad Childress came in and ran off certain players, namely Daunte Culpepper? He ran his first training camp like a military hell week. Players were aggravated, and he ultimately still lost his locker room by the middle of 2010.
So how does Frazier approach the delicate natures of professional athletes? His first training camp obviously does not reflect his coaching abilities. But it will affect how he is perceived by his players and the Vikings community. And more importantly how much they respect him.
Be excited for free agency; it's a great time to be a fan of the NFL. But the new regime is young; Frazier is the boss for the first time in his career.
Things could prove to be very interested and informative early on once players hit the practice fields.
