Underdogs Reunion: Giants Shock the Sports Gods
There are times to be realistic and times to question the motives of the Sports Gods.
For over a year, the Gods have given us games that will leave us breathless. On Sunday, the New York Giants added to that.
I will say this much about the Giants. They are firm believers in second chances. And itās time for them to face the Sport Court. Hereās the evidence placed before us to this day.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap šø
Eliās Draft Day Decision
The San Diego Chargers selected Eli Manning with their 1st round pick of the draft in 2004. The New York Giants took Philip Rivers. This started the infamous QB swap that had people on both coasts pissed off. Manning made it adamantly clear that he wasnāt playing for the Chargers.
This led to the trade that gave the Bolts a possible replacement to Drew Brees, and the Giants got the outspoken Manning.
Iām not a rocket scientist, but when you come out and say that you arenāt playing for a team just because you wanted to be somewhere else, thatās kind of selfish. In his defense however, at least his name isnāt JaMarcus Russell.
Tikiās Temper Tantrum
If there was a more selfish turncoat in the NFL, it wasnāt Ricky Williams.
It was Tiki Barber.
After announcing his retirement, he then proceeded to run his mouth and berate the entire New York Giants organization. Talk about an ungrateful jackass.
Letās be realistic. Everyone has been trying to be as mum about Barber as possible. But unfortunately, I am not as polite about it.
Tiki Barber is a self centered son of a bitch who needs to be smacked in the back of his bald head. The fact that he had the balls to trash talk them in the offseason and then kiss their ass as they waltz into the Super Bowl without him is an insult to anyone who has watched, played and/or written about the NFL.
Postseason Pinnacle
How many teams can say they can run through the most dangerous stadiums and win?
The Giants can.
How many teams can say they were better on the road than at home?
The Giants can.
The New York Football Giants can.
Despite all the adversity they have faced this postseason, the G-Men kept on winning. Now Tom Coughlin finds himself in place he has gotten close to, but never made it there: The Super Bowl.
What better way for a season to end than with a trip to the biggest game of your life?
It was Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, Plaxico Burress, and Eli Manning that have led the Giants to another Super Bowl appearance this decade. Hopefully, this time around will be better than their last appearance, a trouncing from the Baltimore Ravens.
With the evidence presented, I have found the New York Giants not guilty of being the underdog and not losing when they should have. I do find them guilty of possibly giving us a Super Bowl worth watching. They already know how to beat the Patriots, but the question is can they do it.
The Sports Gods love the underdogs, but will they still love the Giants in two weeks?
