Some Change Within The Raiders Roster!

Well, JaMarcus Russell may have the chance to throw the ball this week, with the Raiders defensive passing ability better the Jets, there's hope.  Let's just hope this gives Russell the chance to calm down and think about where he wants the ball.  We keep hearing about how good he is at the long ball, and that's fine.  But I want to see him make these short passes and sideline passes start to count.  Those are the ones that win games, and all I keep seeing is overthrown passes.  He needs to remember that our receivers aren't 7 feet tall.  He also needs to see defenders.

I know it's pretty much his rookie year, but it's time!

Also, it seems that Chaz Schillens has impressed enough to make his start this week, according to Cable.  I don't give a rats behind who the hell comes in as receiver as long as they run their routes and catch the ball.  I kind of like the idea of the rookie coming in because he has something to prove and will probably work his butt off.
Also, Michael Huff has been demoted, and Hiram Eugene has been put in his place.  We'll see how that goes.

My expectations this week are simple:

I want to see Brett Favre with a Raider in his face.  If you rush him and make him uncomfortable, he will throw interceptions.

I want to see Darren McFadden and Justin Fargas make the Jets drop down a few peg marks on their 3rd against the rush standing.

I would also like to see Russell hit a stride and rest the defense.

But most of all, I would like to see the same defense from the 1st half of the Bills and Chargers games come out onto the field, and stay there throughout the game. It's critical for that to happen.

That's a lot to expect, but I do believe we have the players for all of that and more.  They need to be on the same page and keep it there for 4 whole quarters. If we waiver just once, then it's not gonna be pretty.

My prediction for this game is based on which team shows up and for how long.  If the defense from the 1st half of the Bills and Chargers game show's up, along with the McFadden from the KC game, then we win.  Otherwise, we won't.   Cut and dry, that's how I am from now on.
