CMC's Crazy Pushups ๐ฎโ๐จ
Matt Schaub QB (HOU) - Schaub and the Texans offense are really starting to heat up. Over the past four week the Texans have scored - with or without Matt - an average of 27+ points per game. Funny, but - outside of the Vikings making them look better than they are last week - that is pretty much the same amount of points the lowly Lions are giving up on a weekly basis. HmmmโฆI wonder what that means?
Look for Matt and company to get their groove on this weekend at home against Detroit. Look for 300 yards and 2+ touchdowns.
Miami D - The Dolphin should keep the score low and get a few turnovers against one of the worst offenses in the league, the Ravens. They are tenth in the league at sacking the QB (13 this season) and the Ravens may be short a lineman or two. This week they added their starting right guard to the IR and have two tackles who where limited or did not participate in practice this week. All of that should make it easier for Miami to help the rookie, Joe Flacco, add to his seven interceptions.
The Dolphins are gaining confidence and should be able to slug it out Ravens-style in a low scoring game. Look for 5 sacks, 3 picks, 9 points allowed and a touchdown.
Bonus #1: Jake Delhomme QB (CAR) - He will bounce back - from a poor performance in Tampa - against a sketchy New Orleans defense who had the luxury of disguising thier bad secondary against poor passing teams in Minnesota and Oakland the past few weeks.
Bonus #2: Ryan Grant RB (GB) - He hasnโt done much this year but I think that changes this week versus the Colts Defense that is giving up 161 yards per game on the ground.
Sit em if you got em
Julius Jones RB (SEA) - Not much has gone right for any of Seattleโs fantasy worthy players this year. Their one bright spot โ if you can call it that - has been the few decent rushing performances from Julius Jones. This week, look for Jones, and the rest of the struggling Seahawks offense, to continue struggling on the road against the fourth ranked Tampa Bay defense. Look for maybe 60 yards and 0 touchdowns.
Justin Fargas RB (OAK) - Believe it or not the Jets are ranked 3rd against the run. Add to that the fact that Justin is part of a committee.ย Unless you are desperate you might want to look elsewhere. Look for 50 yards or less and zero touchdowns.
Sleepers: Donโt be surprised ifโฆ
โฆHouston D racks up a few sacks, a few interceptions and maybe even a score against a guy named Dan Orlovsky and his Lions. The Lions are 2nd in the league at allowing sacks (with 22) and you can bet Marion Williams is licking his chops. If it sounds like I am picking on the Lions this week, I am. I canโt help it, just calling a spade a spade. Look for 4 sacks, 3 turnovers, 10 points allowed and a touchdown (defensive or special teams).
โฆMichael Pittman RB (DEN) gets 90% of the carries again this week - he had all of them last week - while starter Selvin Young still recovers from his groin injury. The Patriots are not the Patriots of old and have been giving up over 120 yards per game on the ground besides, they will busy trying to stop the rest of the Denver offense.
