We almost had the brawl at the palace round two on Monday night.
It was the typical shoving match that happens with most scuffles in the NBA after getting a bit too physical with each other on the pick-and-roll.
But Villanueva wasn't finished.
Well after the two teams had settled down and the two players were promptly ejected, Villanueva took it upon himself to check on Hollins.
And by "check on" I mean sprint in his direction as Rodney Stuckey and Pistons security head Jerry Herndon grab onto him for dear life.
He still wasn't finished according to the Detroit Free Press:
But later, Villanueva attempted to get to the Cavs locker room, only to be restrained by Auburn Hills police. As he was escorted back to the Pistons locker room, Villanueva muttered, “I will kill that dude. I don’t give a (expletive).”
Wow. I'm pretty sure you get in trouble if you threaten to kill a fellow player.
Expect a suspension that will bleed into next season for Villanueva. How long into the season is the big question.
To make matters worse, Hollins is seen laughing at him at the end of the video. It was an ugly scene and just another example of how not to handle yourself in the heat of the moment on a NBA floor.
