With wrestling’s biggest event of the year in the book, and TNA Wrestling looking to move forward after a horrendous Genesis event; it is time for TNA Wrestling’s Lock-Down.
If you’re trying to compete with the best in the business of the field you’re in, you have to capitalize on every aspect of the game you can. WrestleMania is not only the biggest event for WWE but is the pro-wrestling/sports entertainment event of the year.
Every pro-wrestling/sports entertainment fan anticipates and speculates about the grandest stage of them all, all the way leading into the event. Even after it’s over fans cannot stop talking about some of the highlights moments from the event for months.
Although this WrestleMania wasn’t the greatest many fans still bought tickets and dropped $54.99 to tune in.
With TNA Wrestling’s Lock-Down just around the corner this means trouble.
Trouble for who you may ask…well it’s quite simple—TNA wrestling. We all know TNA will not be able to match or even come to the numbers WrestleMania threw down. That is simply out of the question.
TNA Wrestling is not looking to match the biggest event of the year with their gimmick PPV Lock-Down. This PPV is more of a rebound and new beginnings and should set up, what could be good summer for TNA Wrestling.
Now one thing that won’t happen this year but should happen in TNA Wrestling’s Lock-Down future is…lowering the price of the event.
Right now the PPV will set you back $34.99. Now if you’re a fan of both WWE and TNA, a dedicated one at that; then you’re looking at an $89.98 set back for both PPVs this month.
Now that is highly doubtful! After WM no fan is looking to drop another $34.99, especially after what happened at their last event.
So why not cut that in half to $17.49…okay I know what most of you are saying, “I wouldn’t watch the event if it was free.”
But for the true TNA Wrestling fans they would be interested as Lock-Down is one of TNA’s major shows of the year.
Now lowering the prices might not work and might not boost things up, but it’s still a shot.
Now let’s take a look at the card:
ALL MATCHES WILL TAKE PLACE IN A CAGE
INK INC VS. CRIMSON/STEINER VS. JORDAN/YOUNG VS. MAGNUS/WILLIAMS
Okay, this match is basically filler but they still should put on a decent match. One thing TNA should make sure to do is not throw a match on the card just to have it last about 5-7 minutes like the JoMO, Trish Stratus, Snooki Vs. Ziggler/w Vickie Guerrero, Lay-Cool.
Now with whole Ink Inc thing we pretty much will probably see them break up during this match or at the end setting up a feud. This most likely will be done to add more depth to the X-Division.
Now not sure if this is a number one contender’s match or what but if so we will probably see Magnus/Williams get the win.
But one thing TNA should make sure to do is get Crimson over as he is a great prospect to the roster and could have a bright future so they should start to build him up.
X-DIVISION XSCAPE MATCH
GENERATION ME VS. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS VS. JAY LETHAL VS. ROBBIE E VS. AMAZING RED VS. BRIAN KENDRICK VS. SUICIDE
One way or another this could be a potential show stealer, well that is if Bischoff and Hogan let them do what they do best!
But after this they need to rebuild the division that brought many fans to watch TNA Wrestling in the first place back in the day.
Not really feeling any of these guys to step up and take on Kazarian.
They need to start by setting up a good feud maybe it’s time for Dinero to take a shot at Kazarian.
Speaking of the pope…
THE POPE VS SAMOA JOE
This feud has become bland and stale…it’s time to mix things up!
Samoa Joe needs to be back in the main event scene. If you look at it now there is really only three people Anderson, Sting and RVD.
They should have Joe win this match and continue his hot streak by turning on Sting at the end of the night after he retains to set up a feud. This would make Joe Immortals new top guy.
But this won’t happen.
This will be a good match but hopefully this feud is put to a stop after this event and hopefully both will move up!
HERNANDEZ VS. MATT MORGAN
Not really feeling this match...
This match probably won’t be a candidate for show stealer but should be a decent match and will help build both big men.
WOMENS TITLE MATCH—MICKIE JAMES VS. MADISON RAYNE
Madison Rayne has been working on her skills but still not looking forward to this one. This will most likely be a quick match with James capturing the belt.
This is another division that needs to be tweaked but wont as it’s not on Hogan & Bischoff regime’s to do list.
JEFF JARRETT W/ KAREN JARRETT VS. KURT ANGLE
Is anyone else tired of this feud?
Hogan and Bischoff assumed that this real life scenario would bring in more ratings but it’s has gone stale already.
How many times have we seen this feud…a ton!
Just because you add Karen doesn’t really spice it up.
It’s time for Kurt and Jeff to take on the young up-coming talents to build up more stars in the main event scene as it is lacking.
IMMORTAL VS FORTUNE
MATT HARDY, RIC FLAIR, BULLY RAY AND ABYSS VS. KAZARIAN, ROBERT ROODE, JAMES STORM AND ?
Now the mystery forth partner for team Fortune should/will be Christopher Daniels. This makes sense.
This should be a good lead into the main event besides the Daniels surprise; there will probably be another one in store for the night.
On another note:
Don’t know how long this whole Immortal-Fortune feud will last but it should be time to disband soon. But that is very doubtful as it’s been reported on Sescoops.com that TNA Wrestling has storylines running through-out the summer.
It should be time to push Robert Roode to a main-event position…it’s over due! Same goes for James storm.
TNA WORLD TITLE—sTING VS. RVD VS. KEN ANDERSON
Like stated before we should see a new leader of Immortal emerge during this match…maybe a RVD turn?
That could set up a returning face Jeff Hardy to set up a feud with former friend RVD (If he does return).
This match should be great. If this main event doesn’t have fans going nuts then TNA failed again! They have to make up for the debacle at Genesis by putting on an excellent main event.
Like stated before TNA needs to work on pushing more challengers in the main event scene, it’s getting smaller by the minute.
With all that said here is good luck to TNA to put on a great event and to start rebounding.
