WWE Wrestlemania 27:10 Entertaining Storylines We Should Have Seen for John Cena

Hey Bleacherholics.

As much as the WWE has tried to build the Miz/John Cena matchup at this year's "grandest stage of them all," I just haven't been intrigued and I have heard a few others from the Internet Wrestling Community debate the issue.

Well, I'm here and have thought of 10 not just storylines, but 10 entertaining story lines.

John Cena vs. the Undertaker

I wrote about this in another article of mine.

However, instead of writing the exact same thing again, I have copied it here:

"Many people have talked about this matchup and I feel John Cena should have a pop at 'Taker's incredible streak. In my view, I would have preferred this to the Triple H vs. The Undertaker match. Sure, that match will be a show-stealer, but we have witnessed an HHH/'Taker match before and although it could be better, I feel a Cena/'Taker storyline would be great to witness and this match would have been a better pick than Miz/Cena."

Maybe not this year, but next year? Who knows...

Probability of next year - 6/10

Probability in two years or more - 4/10 (I feel Undertaker will retire with at the streak at 20)

John Cena vs. CM Punk

Need i say more?

I think this matchup would have been much more interesting to watch than Miz/Cena. No disrespect to the two, but they are not exactly known for their move sets, are they?

CM Punk is a good in-ring worker and I feel would be an excellent matchup, however, the thing which would have made this matchup a little stale is that Punk is the New Nexus leader and Cena has faced the Old Nexus leader multiple times with the other Nexus hooligans. So I think that it would have been a too quick a story line to recycle.

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho

Truly, The best in the world at he does

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho

Yes, that was Y2J's final match before a short hiatus in 2005.

Y2J returned in 2007 and since his return, hasn't feuded properly with Cena. All of the seeds are planted, just like Edge and Christian, but it hasn't happened.

Chris Jericho shall return for the third coming and ignite a feud with Cena about how he was the reason for why he was fired in 2005.

I feel Y2J may return back to Smackdown!

John Cena vs. Alex Riley

WrestleMania 26 - John Cena vs. Batista for the WWE title

WrestleMania 25 - John Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show for the World Title

WrestleMania 24- John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H for the WWE Title

WrestleMania 23 - John Cena vs. Shawn Micheals for the WWE Title

WrestleMania 22 - John Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE title

WrestleMania 21 - John Cena vs. JBL for the WWE Title

 
For six WrestleMania's straight, Cena has been in a World Title match! Quite frankly, it makes me sick.

Cena should use his status just how Big Show used his status at WrestleMania 20 to make a star of Cena.

Cena vs. Alex Riley would be a match to solidify his spot within the roster, because up until his steel cage match with Cena, I was unable to recall his last significant match. So the WWE could have made it a match at WrestleMania and if Cena wins, he gets a WWE title shot at Extreme rules. However, should he lose, he wouldn't have another shot at the WWE title along as Miz is still Champion.

Probability of match/feud happening at a future event within the year - 6.5/10

John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

We saw a hint of a feud at one RAW, when Vickie was getting the most boos I have ever heard in my life and even Cena couldn't stop it. Vickie with Ziggler made a match with Cena the following Week with Cena.

This match would be another match where Cena would help elevate the once World Champion.

Probability of next year - 6/10

Probability of match/feud happening at a future event within the year - 7/10

John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Wade Barrett

This would be an intriguing matchup, as all have been Nexus members. 

The story behind this would be that Wade wanted to reclaim his spot as Nexus leader and was ordering the Nexus members to beat Cena up; Punk would realize Wade was using his men to do this and the two would make at match at WM for the leadership of the Nexus. 

Cena will then claim he wants in the match, as he has been beaten time after time, and if he wins, the Nexus must disband.

As of this moment, all of the Nexus (excluding Punk) have been assigned to FCW, so that means, if Cena did win, it would be another way to break it up.

Probability of match/feud happening at a future event within the year - 3/10

John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio

A Face vs. Face match.

This matchup would be fresh and the story behind this would be that they would want to settle a score of who is truly better than the other. They can be portrayed as friends trying to show who is better.

Probability of next year - 1/10

Probability of match/feud happening at a future event within the year - 2/10

John Cena and John Morrison vs. the Miz and Alex Riley

This would be for the Tag Team Championship and the WWE title.

Let me elaborate...

Miz/Riley are the Tag Team holders, as well as Miz the WWE Champ.

Miz and Riley say they are so confident that the Miz will put his belt and the tag titles on the line at WM to Cena and a partner of his choosing.

Cena chooses Jomo because he feels he knows Miz inside out (due to their former Tag team).

I'm not sure who would win, but in reality, let's face it, Cena would do superman!

Probability of match/feud happening at a future event within the year - 4/10 (Maybe at Extreme Rules a Tag match for the WWE title could happen?)

John Cena vs. Kofi Kingston

Let's face it.

Kofi Kingston is soon to become stale. He needs something to make him relevant once again, like his feud with Orton.

The thing Kofi needs is a heel turn.

The story is simple, with the late Smackdown superstars on Raw thing.

Perhaps Kofi could have tagged with Cena against Miz and (insert Smackdown heel here).

Kofi would end up screwing Cena over and make the team lose.

I guess you can expect what happens.

John Cena vs. the Rock

You've guessed it...

WWE have already done a great job with the interaction with them, so I won't say anything except...

 

Will it really happen?

Will Rock return for one last match?
