You heard right, The Miz finally cashed in his Money In The Bank Briefcase tonight on Raw and beat Randy Orton for the title.
The main event for tonight, was a rematch from last night's Survivor Series. Orton Vs. Barrett for the Heavyweight title, minus John Cena as the referee.
Orton was attacked by Nexus as he made his way down to the ring, then after a little of a delay, the match finally began.
After going back and forth for a while, Barrett hit Orton with Wasteland and went for the cover before John Cena came and dragged the ref out of the ring to the floor before getting in the ring and hitting Barrett with an AA and then proceeded to pummle him.
Nexus then chased Cena out of the arena. Barrett then got to his feet and went over to try and once again finish Orton, when Orton out of nowhere hit Barrett with an RKO to win the match.
Orton barley had enough time to breathe when all of a sudden, The Miz's music hits. Miz darts to the ring ready to cash in his breifcase.
He had been threatning to cash in the briefcase for a while now, and had tried to cash it in unsucessfully a couple times back when Sheamus was champion, but due to the bell never ringing those matches were never actually official.
This time though he handed the breifcase to the ref, and the bell finally rung. The Miz went right for Ortons knee which he was selling to be injured.
Orton started to comeback getting a few moves in here and there, but The Miz stayed right on him. Orton then went for the RKO, but Miz countered into the Skull Crushing Finale for the 1,2,3.
I for one thought The Miz would be the first one to not win the championship from cashing in the MITB Briefcase, but I was wrong.
When the ref counted three, and The Miz was crowned the new WWE Heavyweight Champion, the crowd was in a state of shock. They didn't boo, they didn't cheer, they were just in total awe of what had just happened.
I for one don't believe that The Miz deserves to be the Heavyweight Champion, you got Hall Of Famer's like Mr. Perfect, 'The Million Dollar Man' Ted Dibiase, Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper. Guys like that who never won the Heavyweight title and were twice as talented as The Miz.
Now I know that The Miz does allot of work for the WWE going across the country giving them press, and I'm sure he is a hard in ring worker, but is he really deservant of the WWE Heavyweight title?
I'll let you decide.
