Brock Lesnar and WWE: 10 Things to Know about a Rematch with The Undertaker
We've all been hearing the buzz about the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar confrontation from UFC 121. The confrontation was short, only a few words were spoken, but the hype it generated was enormous.
After Brock lost his UFC Heavyweight Championship to Cain Velaquez in a whopping five minutes, he passed by The Undertaker who was sitting cage-side and all we heard was Undertaker say "You wanna do it?" As a matter of a fact, Brock never even stopped walking.
The big question now is "Was it a work?" Is WWE planning on doing The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 27?
In this article, we are going to look at 10 things you should know about an Undertaker vs. Lesnar match.

It May Not Happen

Thats right, folks. The first thing to know about a match between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar is that it may not happen. Brock is under UFC contract and as of now is in no way affiliated with WWE.
A special deal may have been worked out between WWE and UFC to make this match happen, but maybe the confrontation was not a work and it will lead to nothing at all.
Dana White did say that Brock will not be wrestling in WWE, but if this was a work, of course that's what he would say. There are quite a few variables here, but the match may end up not even happening.
It Would Only Help WWE
2 of 10
UFC has a large fan-base. The buy-rates prove that. If one of UFC's biggest stars was going to have a match in WWE, some UFC fans would buy the pay-per-view, and who knows, they may even get hooked and become wrestling fans.
No matter how you look at this, having The Undertaker face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania would help WWE. It would garner publicity, help the WrestleMania buyrate, and maybe convert some UFC fans into WWE fans.
The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak Would Be on the Line
3 of 10
Yes, it would be on the line no matter what match he is in, but would Brock really come back just to lose? On the same note, would WWE agree to have this match under the terms that Brock is the winner?
Most the time, when a celebrity or other sports figure has a match at WrestleMania, they win.
It's possible that this match happens and Brock ends The Undertaker's WrestleMania undefeated streak, and I'm sure WWE fans wouldn't like that.
The Match Would Be Great
4 of 10
No matter who wins, the match would be great. You have The Undertaker who is one of the best wrestlers of all time and Brock Lesnar who, in addition to being a great MMA fighter, is also a great wrestler in his own right.
These two have put on amazing matches in the past with each other, and at WrestleMania they would at the top of their game.
It's safe to say that every WWE fans would like to see The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar one more time.
The Match Would Turn One of Undertaker's Last Wrestlemania Matches into a Novelty
5 of 10
Some people, myself included, don't think that The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar would be a waste of one of the few WrestleManias left in The Undertaker.
However, The Undertaker does only have a few 'Manias left in him and you would have a valid argument saying that you don't think one of his last matches at WrestleMania should be a "novelty" match like this.
Brock is a former WWE Champion, though, so if you are one of the people who think this match is a waste, you should at least realize Brock would be a credible opponent.
WWE Wants This Match to Happen
6 of 10
If the whole thing was a work, they not only want this match to happen, but it most likely will.
However, even if it wasn't a work, WWE has got to be hearing all this buzz and imagining how great this match would be.
Whether this was a work or not, WWE definitely wants this match to happen.
Brock May Not Want to Return to WWE
7 of 10
It's possible Brock has no interest in returning to WWE, even only for one night.
The stars may be aligned for a one-night-only return, but in the end Brock may just decide he still has no interest in coming back to WWE at all.
Lesnar Is on a 180-Day Suspension
8 of 10
Brock has been suspended from UFC for 180 days for medical reasons, following UFC 121. That means that for 180 days Brock will not have to think about UFC.
Sure, he will be training, but not actually fighting.
The 180-day period puts us just about at WrestleMania, which should help the chances of this match actually happening, as we know for a fact that between now and WrestleMania he has nothing going on with UFC.
Brock Can Be at WrestleMania Without Wrestling
9 of 10
One of ideas making its rounds now is that Brock may be the guest referee in The Undertaker's WrestleMania match.
It's worth nothing that Brock can appear at WrestleMania without being in an actual match.
The Undertaker Is an MMA Buff
10 of 10
This may not seem like it is related to the match at all, but if you think about it, it is.
The Undertaker is a huge MMA fan and, if given the chance, he would probably love to opportunity to face one of MMA's best and most successful fighters, without even leaving his own turf: a wrestling ring.
On top of that, Brock has an extensive background in wrestling, so The Undertaker knows that he won't just be in there with a wrestling-illiterate fighter, but also someone who can wrestle.
