Now the Jets will see a one-year spike in season ticket holders, confusing investors who aren't sports fans.
Now the Giants, a team deserving of more coverage, will be completely overshadowed by Favre-mania.
Now Favre will have to play two games each vs. Buffalo and New England, and will probably barely make the playoffs, if at all.

FoxSports summed it up like this: "At some point this autumn, Brett Favre will wake up and ask himself the same question he posed in March: What the hell have I done?"
If the football gods are watching carefully, Favre will miss the playoffs, and either the Vikings or Packers will win the NFC. He will also be mercilessly booed by the New York crowd when he throws an interception.
Jets fans deserve a real franchise quarterback that won't retire at the end of the season (although Favre might change his mind again, who knows).
