2010 NFL Draft: Denver Broncos to Trade Down: Expect Pouncey or Tebow

Remember that no matter what happens, America wins.

Adam Schefter has reported that the Denver Broncos are among four teams in the draft looking to trade down.

But the Broncos are in a bit of a bind.

Among the other teams looking to move back are the Jacksonville Jaguars, who incidentally have the pick right above Denver.  Also looking to trade back are the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins.

In order to entice teams looking to move up not to leapfrog the 11th pick, Josh McDaniels will likely have to low-ball himself on material.

Teams looking to move up in the draft include (Schefter):

15. New York Giants

16. Tennessee Titans

18. Pittsburgh Steelers

23. Green Bay Packers

24. Philadelphia Eagles

28. San Diego Chargers

If the Broncos move back, but stay in the teens, it is likely they will draft Maurkice Pouncey.  However, according to the more prevalent draft rumor right now, the team that trades into the 20's is after Tebow.  And that could definitely be the Broncos.

It might be that Denver is the team that Tim Tebow has "known" will draft him.

He certainly fits the mold of a high-character gym rat that would make it onto Josh McDaniels short list (apparently last year a list of less than 40 guys McDaniels would consider drafting).

According to another reliable source, there is absolutely no chance Josh McDaniels drafts Rolando McClain or Dez Bryant.

If this is a pre-draft smokescreen, it is a damn good one.  Expect this stuff to pan out.
