Big Ben to Oakland would be a dream come true. Sure he has off the field problems but when have the Raiders been afraid to sign players with chracter issues. Hell the Raiders should have a patent on signing players other teams gave up on or were problem child's it was the Raiders way and which made Al Davis look even more like a rebel owner. The last such player the Raiders signed with off the field issues was Javon Walker. Walker never found his way in Oakland and you knew things were going wrong when reports came out of Vegas that Walker was found knocked out in the streets having been robbed. Having read a lot of threads with Raider fans not wanting the Raiders to make this move only one things comes to mind are you guys crazy!

Rumors are exactly what they are rumors. So only the main people involved know if Mcnabb to Oakland had any chance at all. I would have been excited with such a move even if though Mcnabb is about to turn 34 years old that would still have given the Raiders 3-4 years of a solid QB if they were able to get a contract extension signed. Ben is 28 years old people. He is heading into the prime of his playing career. He could easily have 7-8 years of playing left in his body barring injury. In a off year last season Bg Ben's stats were as follow- 26Td's 12int's and 4,328 yards through the air.

If there is any truth to the rumors out there that the Steelers are considering trading Ben the Raiders need to offer a second round this year and next year and make it happen. He is a proven winner and once again i say he is only 28 yeras old. For everyone that says the Raiders shouldnt make this move i ask why? Are you not tired of the losing ? Do you have faith in Russell all of a sudden dropping 40 lbs and getting a work ethic and chracter? Do you love Gradkowski that much? I personally love the way Gradkowski led the team last year and would be happy with him at QB but with a chance at getting a player like Ben you have to look into it.

Big Ben would come with some baggage but not enough in my opinion to not make this move. He went riding with out his helmet and almost died because of it, he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a restroom. He was not the first famous athlete to be charged with such a crime and I can guarantee you this he will not be the last. Only him and the girl know exactly what happened but I just dont see a millionaire QB who has woman throwing panty's at him having to assault any woman to get some loving. Regardless of what happened or didnt a suspension is likely coming which I expect to be in the 4 game range. Once again I dont see that being a road block to a trade maybe that actually lowers the price of what the Raiders would have to give up.

We Raider fan's have been through hell these past seven season's and need a move to bring back excitment to the coliseum. Even if we have to wait 4 games into this season I say to Davis make this move and restore some of the faith Raider nation has lost with you.
