Santonio Holmes traded to the Jets

So Mr Holmes is going green. The Steelers have decided that a good reputation means more than a decent receiver and have shopped Santonio Holmes to the New York Jets. Wow. That’s a biggy. Let me just have a puff to let that sink in….

Its true that Santonio Holmes is suspended for the first 4 games of the season for violation of the substance-abuse policy. But Rexy obviously sees past this and is willing to work with it. Well he won’t be getting a Marijuana Medical Card for Mr Holmes because its still illegal in the State of New York but maybe he will sign him up for anger management lessons and help him get over his throwing sharp-objects-at-peoples-faces-thing.

There is a feeling that the trade was a crazy-twisted-jets-have-got-the-better-deal kind of affair. SHOCK and WHAT!!!!!!!!! have been seen in response to hearing about this trade. The Steelers did apparently call a lot of teams and the Jets offered the best deal, a 5th round pick. Oh the shame.  Lets be honest Mr SHolmes is a liability, and could easily be out of more games than 4, depending on his weakness for Mary Jane and his love of throwing things at faces.

But Rex Ryan has no problem with players with questionable life-issues. He’s like the Borstal Bigwig of the NFL. Ohhh I am so looking forward to Hard Knocks.

Sherlock Holmes also had a drug problem. I wonder if Santonio is remotely related?
