Brett Favre, Thanks for the Memories, But Don't Come Back
I couldn’t explain the sensation I felt when I noticed the news about the retirement of Brett Favre. I wasn’t ready for this. Nevertheless, and time later, I realized that he has made the right decision.
His time has come to an end. He admitted it assuming his retirement. Now, he is considering the option to be back for another football season. He was better off with his decision to retire three months ago.
Now, he is confused, perhaps even wrong.

Which is the reason Brett? You retire without thinking it through? Can’t you live without football?
I don’t known what runs in his mind. But I have my opinion; after announcing his retirement, he can’t and shouldn't go back now. His legacy is already guaranteed. Three consecutive League MVP awards and a Super Bowl Trophy. What more can you ask for.
He will be inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The NFL Fact Books will have his name at the top.
Nice profile. But when our children ask about him we will not answer with his stats or facts. We will describe the pleasure of watch playing Brett Favre. It’s over his numbers. In Green Bay there always been an era before Favre, and an era post Favre. This one is about to start.
For this reason, I can only say two things. Brett, thank for the memories. Thanks for you passion. Thanks for loving the game so much. Every play. Every game. Thank for those magic comebacks. Thanks in the name of football. There are thousands of moments we will remember; it would be impossible to select one.
I will never forget the Monday night after your father's death. Oakland took on your Packers, and you gave an emotive shootout. You, as always, played with your strongest muscle: your heart. I could collapse the web site writing all your greatest moments, so I will resume it with an honest thank you.
Age One, post Favre
The second thing I’m saying is don’t come back. Brett Favre’s book is complete. Favre have to be a knight. He was able to play a streak of 271 consecutive starts. He has to be able to leave the way absolutely open right now. Aaron Rodgers may no be the chosen one, but this is his moment.
Favre is a slave of his words. I understand the organization of the Packers. They can’t accept Favre back to the team. The age one post Brett Favre will start September 8 when the Green Bay Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings. This day, for the first time since 1991, a man not called Brett Favre will start as the Green Bay quarterback.
He will take a NFC runner up and a legacy; the greatest legacy that a tiny city of Wisconsin ever had.
Awesome.
