I'm back for predictions for UFC 87, it's gonna be a great event.
Jason "The TUF Killer" McDonald vs. Demian Maia. This could be a pure jiu-jitsu match! McDonald is a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu wizard, he's beaten: Joe Derkson (twice), Rory Singer, Chris Leben, Ed Herman & Gideon Ray. To beat Maia he should keep it standing & try to KO Maia. Damien Maia is 7-0 and has had two UFC fights against Ed Herman & Ryan Jensen. He's a Jiu-jitsu wizard too. He should take McDonald down and try to submit him. In this fight I give the advantage to McDonald, for his experience. Jason McDonald wins by submission in Round One.
Manny "The Anvil" Gamburyan vs. Rob Emerson. A match-up of two TUF 5 fighters. Gamburyan is a judo fighter but also has KO power, I would take Emerson to the ground and submit him. Emerson is a kickboxer but has been training with Ruas Vale Tudo and currently training striking with Colin Oyama, Rampage Jackson's former trainer. Emerson should keeps the fight standing and use his reach on Gamburyan. Gamburyan wins by submission in Round Two.
Brock Lesnar vs. Heath "The Texas Crazy Horse" Herring. This should be a great fight. Lesnar cannot get over aggressive with Herring like he did with Frank Mir. He needs to out wrestle Herring. Herring, substituting for Mark Coleman who suffered a knee injury training, should keep the fight standing & shouldn't worry about being taken down. This fight could go either way, as long as Lesnar doesn't kiss Herring, I can't choose a winner here.
Kenny Florian vs. Roger "El Matador" Huerta. This is going to be fight of the night. Florian is a jitsu guy but can dominate in striking too. He should put Huerta on his back and submit him. Huerta is very well rounded and should look to keep this fight standing. Again this fight could go either way, I can't chose a winner.
In the main event, for the Welterweight Championship, George St. Pierre vs. Jon "Two Face" Fitch. St. Pierre is a striker but can control people on the ground. He should keep this fight standing. Fitch is a wrestler but also has 5 TKO wins. He should keep this fight on the ground. I give this fight to St. Pierre by TKO due to strikes in the First round.

Thats his actual nickname believe it or not. I've never heard of him before so I can't not like him.

Trent you never heard of Jon Fitch yet you know his nickname is Two Face? where did you get this info?
from about 15 hours ago
How can you claim to be a UFC fan, or an MMA fan for that matter, if you've never heard of Jon Fitch? I don't even know what to say to that. Anyway, as usual, your article sucks. Your analysis is wrong as always, and once again, your picks are wrong and very vague.

I like how no one is giving fitch a chance in this fight. First round TKO? Come on now. Give the guy a little credit.
I know his fights aren't usually pretty but the guy grinds out victories. 15 in a row to be exact and he hasn't lost at 170 ever in his career. He also has only been knocked out once and that was 6 years ago. Even st pierre said fitch would be his toughest opponent to date.
I'm not saying fitch will win this fight but I think this could be a long, tough battle for st pierre.

If GSP is smart he should finish him quick. And i don't think is near GSP's level of fighting.

i agree with derek...fitch may not win this one,but i don't see him going out quick...this guy is a warrior..with wins over diego sanchez ,thago alves ,and Luigi Fioravanti...c'mon,the guy is 8 - 0..i see this one going at least 4 if not 5 rounds...

Brock Lesnar made $250,000 in his fight with Frank Mir who only got $80,000. Mir possibly got another $80,000 for winning by submission. It is ridiculous. I hope Heath Herring takes it to Brock with a submission. He may be big, strong and he may have a strong football and wrestling back ground but as far as fighter talent goes, he is not there.

Brock made $250,000 because at least half of the PPV buys were WWE fans and people curious to see how he would do. His purse was justified. If Kongo could take down Heath at will, then Brock should absolutely murder him.

Brock Lesnar is gonna crush Herring in the first round...He is a 1999 runner-up National Champion in collegiate amatuer wrestling and champ in 2000...The guy knows how to win and doesn't like to lose and he tasted a humiliating defeat by Mir...He's gonna be real hungry and ready to prove himself that he's not a punk...And as far as GSP and Fitch i think it's the year for upsets man and a year for the underdog...Look at Forrest 2 fights in a row...Its the best fighters in the world anyone can win
