Knee-Jerk Reaction, My Open Admittance Of Stupidity!

To my fellow bleacher report writers, to quote one of my favorite Social Distortion songs, "I was wrong". I made a very bad assessment of a fight and how it was called, and after rewatching it several times, I need to get this off my chest.

Referee Heb Dean did absolutely the right thing, he in a very quick and definative action , called the fight to a halt, and none to soon, was I out of order, yes, was i mad that Noguera learned absolutely nothing from the pounding he took from Frank Mir, yes, and do I have the right to think that I think that everytime I pay for and watch a big time hyped fight that it should last long enough for myself to feel that I did not waste my money, no i should not.

Cain Velasquez  completly demolished the old aging , if only in his early thirties, is still in my book , a fighter who needs to hang the gloves up. When you can no longer even hang around with the best, and lose emphatically as has been the case for Big Nog in his last several losses than the writing on the wall and    is spray painted with the great detail of a of a great wall tagger who can make art on a wall with the swipe a spay paint can.

Was it my fault for wanting a competitive fight, I still don't think so but it wasn't close and I flew off the handle and hastily wrote a horrible little ditty on a not so smart "fly off the handle" rant.

Cain Velasquez deserves all the credit, even though I still think Noguera's gameplan was horrible and he showed why he is not a championship fighter anymore.

IN my lame defense, I did pick Velasquez to defeat Big Nog, I just thought it wouldn't end up as bad as it did, and chose to go off about a stoppage, and a good one at that, while overlooking a great card overall, for that I am sorry to everybody on b/r who really cares about the content that this website desevrves. And it deserves more   than the rest of the MMA community is willing to give tis website credit for!

In the future I will no longer make quick decisions about obvious "butt" kickings like the one doled out saturday night, NOW, where does this leave the division with the most questions in regards of title implications, I am completely lost after the massacre in the cage, this was nowhere as close as I expected it to be and whoever fights next, in my opinion , it should be for the title, Joe Silva needs to make the next big fight for the title, and then from there it is game of "let the chips fall where they may".

I do know this, Brock Lesnar is not in fighting shape as of right now to defeat VELASQUEZ, MIR, OR CARWIN, even though I think that Carwin has to fight soon or get off the toilet, making my opinion that the interm title fight belongs to Cain and Mir, yes this may be another kneejerk opinion but AT LEAST AFTER A FEW DAYS OF HARD THOUGHT I THINK THAT THIS IS THE FAIR FIGHT! Do I think that this is the route that the UFC will take, I am not sure due to the fact that they like to use the interim fight option liberally,  instead of letting the people's championship and common sense decide who will get to fight for the title, that is just my opinion and we all know my opinions are prone to stink the joint up badly.

I am deciding wether or not to delete my last garbage opinion piece, if it is even worthy of that , but I tend to want to let it stay to remind myself that I must control my reactions with better judgement towards stoppages and the fact that every fight can NOT be the classic fight that I expect when pushing the order button on my remote control.

Once again , my dearest apologies to the b/r community for writing a garbage opinion when I was wrong in every sense of my analysis and being completely wrong about one fight that seemed to overshadow a great night of fights, thank you for understanding my bad judjement. And if not I can understand why!
