The 5 Possible Destinations For Brett Favre

Monty SinghJul 3, 2008

He thought he should retire and regrets his decision. Michael Jordan did the same and ended up with the Wizards to save them. Jordan failed, do not expect Favre to.

He is not yet officially back, but if he does return, expect him to be granted a release by the Packers. The organization understands it is time to move into the Aaron Rogers era.

Joe Montana and Joe Namath ended their legacies with different teams, and Favre will follow them.

Here are the five teams that Favre should go to:

Vikings—They are a quarterback away from winning a Super Bowl. Taylor and Peterson in the back field is the best combo in the NFL behind the best offensive line in the NFL. The defense also is one of the best in the NFL.

So what is the problem? Tavaris Jackson. He is an inconsistent and un-proven QB. They need a proven QB and Favre would be the best fit.

Favre wants to go off winning a Super Bowl and his wishes will come true in Minnesota. He will have pressure taken off of him by the running game and be protected by the fierce O-line.

First game of the season will be one heck of a game to watch for the Vikings as they play at Lambeau Field.

49ers—If Favre is available Mike Martz will personally drive to Favre's door steps and make him the Niners' gun-slinger. Alex Smith has not lived up to any expectation and the organization is losing patience.

If Favre is brought into the 49ers organization, they will be a favorite in the NFC. The O-line is very solid, Frank Gore is one of the best running backs in the league, and the defense is led by one of the best secondaries.

Martz's passing offense will make Favre excited to play football another year. The gun-slinger will get all the throws in the world to make plays.

This is where Favre can be that young kid again that we all love.

Jets—They arguably had the best off season in the NFL. The only problem is that they have a QB situation where Clemens and Pennington are 50/50 on who will start.

If Favre comes in, he will be the sure starter who can be the savior of this team.

Their offensive line is one of the best in the NFL and they have a core group of receivers lead by Coles who Favre will love.

The Jets are where the Packers could get him out of the NFC and this is a team that will get them able to compete to win the division against the Patriots.

Bears—The Bears and Packers are bitter rivals, but Favre may have to put that to a side.

Grossman and Orton are competing for the starting job, but with Favre there will be no competition.

They were in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago led by the defense, but the offense is not there.

They will be lead by rookie RB Matt Forte and really have no WR better than me and you, which will probably cause Favre to struggle.

This is not the best situation for Favre to win a Super Bowl, but if he gets the Bears to win a Super Bowl his legacy will be strengthened, possibly making him the greatest QB ever to play the game.

Ravens—This is a reach but I would like to see him here. This will be the last year most-likely for this team to be able to compete for a Super Bowl.

The defense is arguably the best, the running game is solid, the O-line is solid, and the WR is not bad. Only problem is that they do not have a QB.

Favre would help teach rookie QB Joe Flacco and help the Ravens get back to the playoffs.

Favre will be the best QB this team has ever had and with a defense like they have, there might be a shot for something special.

I hope Favre returns because he is one of the most entertaining guys to watch. If he returns and the Packers decide it is time to move on, these are the five best situations for him.Ā

He's only won one Super Bowl with all of his other records. Another one would just add to his legacy.

He loves this game and we all love watching him.
