Super Bowl XLIV: Colts Are Just Too Good

Dylan MartinFeb 7, 2010

In the 44th edition of the biggest event in America, the now 16-2 Colts will face off against the 15-3 Saints. The Colts are looking for another Super Bowl win while the Saints are looking for their first ever. Drew Brees is one of the greatest players in the NFL and Peyton may be one of the best, if not the best ever, to play the game.

The Super Bowl is so big in America that many call this day Super Sunday. No sporting event in America is bigger than the Super Bowl. Even if you don't like football, if you live in America you're probably watching it anyway. Any show that tries to run against it would be crushed in the ratings.

One day the Super Bowl may rival the World Cup as football grows more popular around the world.

Alright, enough with all the talk—time to get down to the preview. This game is oddly like last year. It's a David vs. Goliath-type game. The Colts are strong, big, powerful, and know how to win a Super Bowl. The Saints, while 13-3 in the regular season, are somewhat young compared to the Colts. The Saints are a big surprise, and they have never been to a Super Bowl.

The Saints fans don't care. They are loyal and will always stick with their team. In a movie this would most likely be a Saints win, but this is not. The Saints are going to need more than movie magic to win this one.

Peyton Manning is possibly the greatest quarterback ever and the receivers are just deadly. On the other side, Drew Brees is just as good with very good receivers. The running game is wicked good for each team, but one team has an advantage over the other.

Passing Game: I'll take the Colts

Running Game: Colts again

Receivers: Saints win this time

O-Line: Saints

D-Line Colts

Backfield: Colts

Kicking Game: Colts

Kick Returning: Saints

Experience: Colts

The Colts have a better group of players and are far more experienced than the Saints. So I'll take the Colts in this game. The Saints will lose their first Super Bowl.
