Oakland Raiders History Etched in Stone, Cannot Be Erased
inspired by RB's article at this link.
There was an article that talked about a "curse" on the Oakland Raiders. Can such a thing exist?
I believe so. Although I believe a curse can be pronounced and cause problems or hindrances, I also believe that curses can be broken.

One thing that the researcher must do is find the offended person, the person or persons who have been wronged, and make amends with those people.
Where in the world do I get such beliefs? Believe it or not, I have read about curses and blessings in the Bible. But, even if you do not read that book, if you have met people from certain cultures, they, too, believe in curses.
Apparently, the Bleacher writerĀ is aware of the subject; otherwise, he would not have posted his fascinating article which lists those who may have pronounced a curse on the beloved Oakland Raiders and other NFL teams.
Approximately 1500 people readĀ RB's article so there must be something to it.
Now, let's do a little homework.
If, in fact, there are a group of people throughout the history of the Oakland Raiders who have been mistreated, terminated, or denied opportunity to perform their duties, they could easily be upset and could voice their pain so powerfully that it releases a so-called "curse" on the organization.
I don't know the details of some of the stories I read about in the articles. I do a lot of reading and research,Ā and I did come across a historical story that framed my thinking on this matter.
Since the 2010 season will be the eighth yearĀ since the start of theĀ struggles of the Oakland Raiders, let us define this season as our new beginning since the number eight often symbolizes "a new beginning."
Next, let us, whether we believe it or not, recite Psalm 91, and do it regularly in the hope that a new sound will be in the atmosphere for the Oakland Raiders.
Now we must forgive Marcus Allen if he is one of the ones who has pronounced a curse on our beloved franchise. Let it be known as of this article, "Marcus Allen, we love you and we forgive you, now please, for your own sake, remove that object from your freezer!"Ā
Next we will uplift every single Oakland Raider who may have been dismissed from professional football because of what may have been perceived as shady socialĀ actions, illegal activity, or even false or trumped up charges against him to disable his life and career.
We can not engage CSI (a telecast)Ā at this time to investigate those historical, past cases, but we can say, "Senior Oakland Raiders, we love you and we forgive you, and we release you from your bondage."
Finally, we will tell the entire story of our history. We will not give credit to some of the senior players or former players and not to others, rather we will honor all of those who made outstanding contributions on the playing field.
Again, we will say, "Sirs, we appreciate the fact that if, for example, DarylĀ Lamonica threw the ball to you, and you successfully caught the ball, then you, too, must be remembered in history books. We realize that if the receiver catches the ball that the quarterback throws, then he, too, is a great man because of the team effort."
We will say that if the senior Oakland Raiders played hard and well and did not get a salary commensurate with their former and documented contributions on th playing field or with the historical archives of tapes that have been used to study how the senior players executed their moves and plays, we, hereby, say,
"We love you and forgive us for believing rumors or erroneous charges made against you. We love you and we forgive you."
As of January 23, 2010, I have started the process of invoking behaviors and positive powers to battle and defeat those longstanding negative pronouncements that may have released something that has hindered our progress.
So with the power of the words in Roman 12:21 and James 4:7 and Psalm 91, we ask that whatever curse may have been pronounced on the entire Oakland Raiders franchise, that it be broken.
It is said. It is done.
Thanks, Senior Analyst RB for bringing this to our attention. And please note that if we affirm the existence of "curses" then we must affirm the existence of the negation of a "curse."
The negation of a curse is a blessing. I always tell my students that in an intelligent and fair environment, if one person can assert a proposition, say, p, then the presentation of ~p, read not p, can and must be made.
If a person can rely on secular knowledge, then he or she should at least consider understanding those things which are not secular, but are spiritual.
So, in history when you tell the story, you must not just tell a "selected exposure or perspective" of the story, you must tweak it and tell the whole story, in a complete and exhaustive manner.
Finally, just remember that the history of the Oakland Raiders is etched in stone and it is deposited in the collective memories of the generation of fans who witnessed the great plays and glorious years.
Let us, in this generation, be wise enough to tell the whole story of the Oakland Raiders and not be guilty of attempting to "erase" certain people from the pages of Oakland Raiders history.
By doing so, the chances of obstacles and hindrances will be greatly reduced or eliminated.
