Braylon Edwards: Cleveland Browns Fans Don't Care About You or Your Dad

Even though New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards is on the doorstep of a possible Super Bowl appearance, he still cannot keep his mouth closed regarding his former team the Cleveland Browns.

His father, Stan Edwards, cannot keep his mouth closed either.

Now Edwards' father is getting involved in the media bashing toward the Browns by saying that he is "100-percent sure" that Browns fans hated his son because he played college football for the Michigan Wolverines.

Cleveland.com conducted a phone interview with the elder Edwards who actually played in the NFL for the Houston Oilers in the 1980's.

Edwards said over the phone, "You guys all hate him. If there was continuity in the organization and there was one quarterback he was playing with and he was still making Pro Bowl after Pro Bowl, the relationship would have still been the same with the Cleveland fans."

Now as a Browns fan for the last 32 years, this journalist knows that Browns fans have never cared that you played for Michigan, even though there is a hatred toward that team by all Ohio State Buckeye fans, but once you are on our Browns team, we just want you to produce and help win games.

That's all every Browns fan wants out of players who wear the orange helmet.

We knew you had talent coming into the NFL, and we loved you in 2007 when you had a Pro Bowl season, but we never cared about your college team.

Edwards continued the interview by saying, "...the fact of the matter is there are so many people who didn't like him because he played for Michigan and gave him more crap and actually put our lives in danger on more than one occasion.

"But that's what fans do. Nobody can hold the fans accountable. It's virtually impossible. But Braylon's drops get talked about more in Cleveland because he is from Michigan. You can't tell me anything different."

Browns fans put your lives in danger?

Sounds crazy to this Browns fan.

Browns fans can be many things including: passionate, loyal, angry, and highly critical, but would we threaten lives...not a chance.

Also, this fan has never heard any Browns fan talk about the fact that they hated Edwards for going to Michigan.

"He's done some things that neither Randy, Larry, or T.O. [Terrell Owens] can do," Edwards said.

You seriously think this?

You are equally as insane and your son and it's easy to see where your son got his huge ego.

The craziest thing about this continued trash talking by both Edwards is that they just need to let it go.

No longer are you on the Browns, but yet you can't keep you mouth shut and move on now that you are on the Jets.

The immaturity of these two is at the point where you might start to feel sorry for them because the more they talk, the more pathetic they become.

Browns fans don't care about you Edwards, so let it go and shut up, otherwise the next time you face a solid orange helmet, you will get the ego beaten out of you on the football field by the defense.

And by the way, we hate you because you dropped the ball too many times and that's it.
