AFC Championship Odds: Jets-Colts Spread Preview

It’s the Vikings vs. Saints and Jets vs. Colts in the NFL’s conference championship. Here is the official AFC Championship spread preview between the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.

Just Bet Sportsbook has the Colts -7.5 with a total of 39.5. The Jets are 11-7 straight up and against the spread and even more impressive on the road at 7-3 in each category.

The Colts are 15-2 straight up and 11-6 to the number. They are 8-1 outright at home, but 4-5 to the sportsbooks.

New York has gone over 3-of-4 while Indianapolis exceeded the total in 4-of-5.

The Jets do what teams must do in order to upset the Colts: keep them off the field. The Jets rush for 172 yards per game compared to only 78.6 for Indianapolis averaging a stunning 1.1 more yards per carry than Indy.

However, Peyton Manning and company get 7.3 yards per pass to the Jets 6.2. On defense, the J-E-T-S allow 3.9 yards per rush compared to 4.3 for the Colts and 4.9 yards per pass compared to the home favorite’s 5.8.

Against the spread records: the Jets are 8-2 as an underdog and 8-2 on the road versus an opponent winning home record.

The Colts are 8-2 off a spread win, yet 3-7 off a straight up win of 14 or more points.

Over/under angles: Indianapolis has gone under 7-2 in the postseason.
