Jets, Vikings, Jersey Shore, and Old Memories: The Perfect Lazy Sunday
Quick playoff thoughts from the Divisional Playoffs
-The thought of the Saints making the Super Bowl is great for the city of New Orleans, but sucks for the city of Miami…with both Kim Kardashian AND Jennifer Lopez in our city; we might never see the sun because of their posteriors.
-Note to Kurt Warner: Please, don’t retire. You still have plenty left in the tank, and come on, with guys like Fitzgerald, Doucett, and Beanie Wells on your offense, you’re all good. Besides, Cardinals fans have suffered enough in the past, don’t quit on them while the goings good and turn it over to Leinart…I don’t think they could take that really.

-Happy for Drew Brees. I’d be happier had Saban signed him over Culpepper though because then the Dolphins would be 6.5 point favorites over the Colts in the AFC Championship game, Florida would’ve won their second consecutive National Title, and Tebow would’ve won two Heisman Trophies.
-On the flip side, football in New Orleans would’ve been killed by Culpepper. You know what, I’ll stop being selfish, Saban probably did do the right thing overall.
-Was at the mall the other day, and I picked up a Peyton Manning jersey. Then the referee flagged me for roughing the passer.
-Seriously that was the second time that the Colts stole something from Baltimore, only this time it was the refs that helped out, and not the Mayflower moving company.
-Ed Reed is 50/50 on coming back next year. I’m guessing he does come back. I mean if Ray Lewis keeps chugging along at 50, Ed Reed is still a beast at 31.
-Speaking of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, I’m picking Miami to win the ACC next year. And I know I’m going to get a lot of hateful comments about this, but YES, Miami will beat Florida State, every year for the next five years that is. :-) (Did I just use an emoticon? Yes, yes I did, don’t like it, *mouths something off that looks like vacuum*)
-Congrats to Brett Favre, in winning his first playoff game against the Cowboys. I remember his first playoff game; it was an amazing duel against Danny White in the 1982 NFC Wild Card game.
-Now THAT was the Tony Romo I know and love!
-Why is everyone shocked that Prince is a Vikings fan? He’s from Minnesota, his favorite color is purple, I mean, it’s only natural. My question is what are Morris Day and Jerome’s favorite team? I’m just going to guess that they’re Cowboys fans.
-Vikings to me have the worst uniforms in the NFL; the Cowboys have one of the best.
-Speaking of uniforms, I wish the Chargers wore those classic powder blues today. It goes without saying but those are sa-weet!
-The graphic curse: they show San Diego kicker Nate Kaeding has hit all of his field goals this year within 50 yards, and then he misses it. Seriously networks, STOP SHOWING GRAPHICS LIKE THAT! IT’S NOT IMPORTANT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE GAME!
-Oh snap! Jersey Shore marathon! Hmmm: tough decision, J-Woww or Revis? Snooki or Rivers? The Situation or the Fat Guy in a Little Coat!
-Snooki’s words: “And this one girl just stahts chahgin me like a [sic] bleepin hippo!” Tommy’s words: And she looks like one too! Always fun to see trailer trash mix it up with guidette’s.
-And this is the episode where Ronnie fights some dude in this episode too. I love this show, don’t judge me!
-The Situation: “These broads probably just smelled food at the house.” Probably.
-I probably identify the most with Vinnie on this show. I have a large Cuban family, and like his mom, both my mom AND my grandmother enjoys cooking for everyone. Cubans are very similar to Italians.
-Ok back to football action since this game has SOME excitement, and thank God because this weekend’s football games were pretty blah!
-Vincent Jackson, dumb call, he’s lucky that didn’t affect them as much as Nate Kaeding.
-Now its 17-14, maybe this all sets it up for Kaeding to save the day with an onside and a Figgie to take them to overtime, then a Figgie to win. Let’s find out.
-This onside, for the season for San Diego…
-GAME OVER!
-Wait not yet…I like Norv’s move, save your time out for AFTER the two minute warning. Onside was dumb though, but that’s only because they didn’t get it, had they gotten it, they would’ve praised it. Ok, I can defend that onside.
-Why did I just see guys wearing Arizona Cardinals shirts at the Chargers game? WEIRD!
-Jets going for it…very Belichickian.
-First Down Jets, GAME OVER! Hey Belichick, that’s how you do it!
Ok yes, I had to take a potshot at Bill Belichick, I don’t care, can’t stand him, glad the Jets (whom I also hate) and hopefully the Dolphins (my team) will supplant them and we’ll have Henne and Sanchez fighting for the AFC East for the next ten years. Those guys had some great battles this season (Henne took both of them by the way) and I don’t see why they won’t continue.
My picks for next week: Saints over Vikings, and Jets over Colts.
Finally onto something I’ve been wanting to talk about, this is mainly for my facebook friends, and I’m going to do it in tangents.
-To Diana, miss u beautiful, u the ish!
-To Hector, sorry about the Chargers.
-To everyone that went to school with me at St. Tim’s, Blue Lakes, and Columbus: I want to reconnect with my past, but a bit differently than just meeting up for coffee or anything like that. Let’s make this fun, tell a funny story about an interaction about me, or me in general. No matter how embarrassing it is to me, I’ll publish it! So just e-mail me the story or even post it as a comment on my page. Make me laugh at how big of a loser I used to be (or still am lol).
