Tony Romo in his three seasons as the Cowboys starting QB has failed to win the big game, clearly this makes him over rated, right?

Wrong, our public dislike for Romo is obvious and apparent, not because his stats are horrible, not because, he cant get in the end zone, and not because he just plain and simple cant get it done. Instead its because we view his public "courtship" and vacation, to be polite, of Jessica Simpson, and public vacation to Vegas with Miles Austin bothers us for some reason.

It strikes us as "cocky". Yet if we were to take our girl out for a week on a vacation to get away from our regular 9-5 job, we would chalk it up to just getting away and relaxing. However if your the QB for the Dallas Cowboys, your just a "cocky prick" as I have heard it said.

Romo's numbers are strong, and you cant argue with numbers. Steve Young (won one of his own and a member of the team for the other two under Joe Montana) and Peyton Manning ( so far) have won one Super Bowl in their respective careers. Peyton may make it two this season. Yet we hear nothing about how over rated they were and may be.

Why, because they aren't dating Jessica Simpson in Cancun, and they aren't on a trip to Vegas with rising star Miles Austin. All hype aside, Tony Romo has done a fine job as the starting Qb for the Dallas Cowboys. The fact is #9 is getting it done, because he is dating quite arguable one of the hottest women on earth, and likes to spend his money and people are noticing, does not make a valid argument for being over rated.

Furthermore, not having won a Super Bowl in three years as a starter does not count as being over rated either. May I remind you of the NFL's poster boy Peyton Manning, who actually threw 28 Interceptions his rookie year. Yet he wasn't over rated, he was just working threw, Romo has top of the chart stats. He is working himself through the ins and outs of the QB profession, give him a little time before you place the over rated moniker on him.
