The Steelers Can Lose To Baltimore and Still Make The Playoffs @ 8-8.
What a difference a season can make.
Last year a very dangerous New England team was denied the playoffs with a record of 11-5.
After week 15 of this season, it is possible for an 8-8 team to make the playoffs.

First things first.
If the Steelers win their next two games and end up 9-7, this is what they need to happen to get in.
#1- they need the Jets to lose 1.
#2- they need the Jaguars to lose 1.
#3- they possibly needย Houston to lose 1...unlessย the Titansย win out.
People have been debating what needed to happen all week long, but this is sure fire, 100% correct. You can bet your life on it, if these things happen the Steelers are in.
In fact, I feel that the teams we need to lose play such tough opponents this week that if the Steelers beat Baltimore, we will only need to beat Miami in the final week to get in.ย We will not have to depend on anyone else losing because that will take care of itself this week.
This is what you need to be hoping for so the Steelers can go into the final week only needingย a win and no further help...
Indianapolis (6 point favorites) to win at home.
New England (7.5 point favorites) to win at home.
Miami (3 point favorites) to win at home.
And finally, Philadelphia (7 point favorites) to win at home.
All very possible from teams fighting to stay undefeated and fighting for their playoff lives.
It gets even better, if you can believe that.
The Steelers can lose this week against Baltimore and finish the season 8-8 yet still make the playoffs. This coming one season after New England failed to make the playoffs at 11-5.
Can this season be any crazier?
Ifย the Steelersย lose to Baltimore yet beat Miami in the final week, they will get into the playoffs with an 8-8 record.
This is what would need to happen...
#1 Denver would need to lose both their games.
#2 Jacksonville would need to lose both their games or tie.
#3 The Jets, Tennessee, and Houston would all need to lose 1.
If you don't believe me, here is a link. It shows the scenario.
How could a season filled with such adversity result in a playoff birth? How could a season so close to ending, needing a touchdown with 3 seconds left, not end? I believe its fate at work, destiny even.
What better way to end the decade?...barelyย making itย into the playoffs as the 6th seed, with everyone doubting you, beforeย embarking on one of the greatest runs in history to earnย your 7th Lombardi trophy and team of the decade honors.
