With the NFL season nearing a halt, teams can already smell the playoffs. But what followers really want is an answer to this question: Who's going to win it all?

There are many major contenders this year, and this could be one of the most exciting playoff chases ever. Obviously, you have to consider the Colts, Saints, Vikings, Chargers, Patriots and you could even say Cardinals and Packers.

However, I'll have to go with Peyton Manning and his team. Even though him and Drew Brees share the same record, Manning's wins have come more easily. Brees has struggled to beat the likes of the Redskins, having to go into overtime to keep their winning record intact. The Colts, however, have been winning handily, their only close win to a not as high team to the Niners.

Hmmm, other teams can be added into the playoff equation. I don't think the Saints will go that deep into the playoffs. Yes, you've heard me. The Saints won't make it that far. I just don't think they're a good enough team. Yes, their offense is pretty good, and their defense is pretty good, but not good enough to carry them deep. And I'm not basing all of this on the fact that they almost lost to the Redskins.

I think that the top teams right now are actually the Colts, Vikings, Chargers, and the Patriots. Yes, they Patriots record isn't amazing, but they almost beat the Colts, and I think that they are one of the teams that can actually beat the Colts, because of Tom Brady. The Vikings are also another team that can beat the Colts. When Brett Favre gets hot, nobody can stop him. Nobody. Ask Percy Harvin. And the Chargers are pretty good too. Phillip Rivers is an almost great quarterback, and you still have L.T.

Ok, to wrap it up, what's my pick? I'm saying Colts/Vikings in the Super Bowl, with a 24-20 Colts win.
