Maybe Tom Cable was right all along when he said the Raiders were a good team just waiting to break out. "We have good players and we have enough scheme." he has said in the past, and I wasn't sure I believed it. I believe it now!  Having a decent quarterback executing the game plan has made all the difference in the world. Our offensive scheme clicks, our rookie wide receivers are catching the ball, our O line is looking great and our special teams are up to the task. Our Defense was outstanding against Cincinnatti and we may have a new star on the "D" with Tyvon Branch asserting himself. We made the stops we had to make to get the ball back for our offense, giving us the opportunity to win the game.

We may need a General Manager to set us up for the draft and smoothing out the personnel decisions but we have the coach we've been wanting all along in Tom Cable!

Forget Gruden, forget Holmgren, forget Cowher, Forget Schottenheimer, Billick, Dungee, Parcells and all the rest! Forget 'em! Tom Cable has what it takes to turn the Raiders around!

If  Bill Parcells, John Madden or Mike Holmgren want to take on the G.M. job then I'm all for it, but Tom Cable is and should stay the Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders!

All we needed was a decent quarterback to fire the team up and get them in rhythm and all the hard coaching starts to shine. The Raiders have fewer penalties this year than in any year I can remember. The offensive line has been protecting the quarterback very well with our starters back in the line up allowing zero, zip, nada, in the sack department the entire game against the Bengals. How long has it been since that happened? Last Sundays game was no fluke, the Raiders looked and played the way a well coached team should.

Tom Cable has weathered the storm of controversy and never lost focus on what  needed to be done. He finally convinced Al Davis to bench Russell and got Bradkowski "SKI" in there. The energy level of the team went form lethargic to thru the roof in less than a week. The whole team is playing like a unit for the first time this year, a tribute to the work Cable and the rest of the staff have put in. We have a tough test coming up against Dallas with a short week, travel and all but the Raiders will be focused on the task at hand you can bet know.

Win or lose Thanksgiving day I'll be thankful for the tough minded, hard working, blue collar coach we already have on the team.

                                        Tom Cable is The Man!

                              Happy Thanksgiving Raider Nation!
