SAN DIEGO - DECEMBER 11: Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer of the San Diego Chargers complains to the officials about a penalty against his team during the Chargers 23-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins during the 2nd half of their NFL Game on December 11, 2005 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. Al Davis fired Mike Shanahan in 1989 after just 20 games as Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders, and refused to pay the remainder of Shanahans contract. Mike Shanahan went on to coach the Denver Broncos and made it his goal in life to punish and beat the Oakland Raiders at every opportunity. Why? Revenge!

The Oakland Raiders should hire Marty Schottenheimer as their next Head Coach. Why? Revenge!

In 2006 Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer led the San Diego Chargers to a record of 14-2 and into the playoffs against New England, losing 24-21. Dean Spanos fired Schottenheimer saying that he failed to keep his assistant coaching staff together. Wade Philips and Cam Cameron left to take Head Coaching jobs at other teams. Spanos also cited the dysfunctional relationship between Marty and General Manager A.J. Smith. for the firing. Dean Spanos also owes Schottenheimer 4 million dollars.

Marty Schottenheimer would love to take it to Smith and Spanos twice a year to get even, don't think he wouldn't. He's also a great football coach with a winning record of 200-126-1. He has coached the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, the Washington Red Skins and the San Diego Chargers. He has a winning record at every team he coached except for the Red Skins where he finished at 8-8.

The Raiders need a coach with a proven track record and a fire in his belly to dominate the Chargers and win the AFC West. He knows the AFC West better than  all the big name coaches out there including Jon Gruden. He could very well be a longtime winner for the Raiders in the mold of Tom Flores and John Madden, the stability we have been looking for.

Al Davis, Please do whatever it takes to get Marty Schottenheimer in Oakland, you wont be sorry! Why? You know why! Revenge!
