So I'm sifting through all the news and rumors of the latest wrestling, when I see an article (not sure if it's just hype, or how much is true to it), that apparently Rey Mysterio is working with an injury.

Apparently his ACL and PCL are completely destroyed, and his injured joint is just bone-on-bone and that he requires knee surgery as soon as possible. If this is indeed the truth, Smackdown is going to be hurting for faces.

A colleague of ours (Joe Burgett) has wrote an article regarding Batista's heel turn.

We discussed the fact that Smackdown is hurting for faces, and the abundance of heels, and we also kicked around that since there's the bare minimum of faces on Smackdown, if one of them got injured, that could hurt the brand more. With Taker working a relaxed schedule, and possibly taking time off after Survivor Series, and Edge not due to comeback until WM26 at the earliest, the only thing I can come up with for a scenario is maybe Jerishow will split, and Show moves over quicker than expected.

The other story I wanted to comment on is a story from the New York Daily News. A fan asked Hogan about his vision for TNA, and reportedly (not sure how reliable the news is I repeat), Hogan said he not only wants to start a new Monday night war, but also hopes to bring in Steve Austin, Randy Savage, Rob Van Dam, and the Nasty Boys tag team to TNA.

"I wish to talk to Rob Van Dam, who is considering returning to the ring, and convince him to join TNA," Hogan said. "Plus I'm also wishing to contact ex-Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Macho Man Randy Savage."

I can see Knobbs being in, as him and Hogan are good friends, also Van Dam recently said he wanted to get back in, and if Hogan asked him, he'd consider it. Stone Cold, I really can't see going to TNA, although it would be worth seeing Vince's reaction to it if he did. I heard rumors of Savage being happily retired, but part of me really wants to see him climb the ropes one more time to drop the elbow for the "W".

As I have said, these are just rumors at this moment, there's no denial, nor confirmation to these. We'll just have to wait and see how this does play out in the near future.

Sorry people, Kitchen is now closed, but as always I would like to hear your comments.
