PITTSBURGH, PA - OCTOBER 18: Head coach Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers watches during a controversial fourth down measurement in the first half against the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field on October 18, 2009 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And on the seventh day, He saw that all was good, and he rested. The Steelers have  Week Eight off, as Troy Polamalu and the Steeler defense get some needed r and r.

With a huge win at home the Steelers are at 5-2 now.

Denver, after a week off, heads to Baltimore and faces a really mad defense, and loses their first game this season to the Ravens. Look for mistakes to plague Kyle Orton for the first time this season.

The Forty-Niners will have a tough time keeping Peyton Manning under wraps and  will lose on the road to Indianapolis this week.

The Giants roll into to Philadelphia after regaining some momentum at home against the Cardinals in Week Seven. Which Eagle team shows up is the question? I like the home team to step up in this NFC East match-up. Take the Eagles in this one.

Detriot is at home against the Rams, and presto, a two win season at least. Detroit keeps the Rams winless and improves to 2-5.

Dallas is at home against Seattle and I hope they can win this game, at least. I will take the Cowboys in games against weaker teams this season. Against better teams, it's a crapshoot.

Chicago will handle Cleveland at home easily. Although they must be very discouraged with last weeks effort against the surprising Cincinnati Bengals who crushed them.

Houston travels to Buffalo, and this offense will be way too much for Buffalo to deal with. Matt Schaub should slice and dice the Bills like a veg-a -matic.

Miami will get the Jets at home again, running the ball down their throat, and allowing Chad Henne plenty of easy looks downfield. Take the Dolphins, as you will see pressure on Sanchez all day.

Jacksonville gets Tennessee after a bye week rest, and this game favors Tennessee to regroup and get in the win category for the first time this season. Jacksonville will face a team with nothing to lose at this point.  I like the Titans.

San Diego will handle the improving Raiders at home, and hope for Denver to start losing a game here or there to get that division closer.

Brett Favre makes his long awaited return to Lambeau Field and looks to put the finishing touches on the revenge factor this season. Minnesota wins again against the Packers. They are just a better team.

Arizona will have their hands full against a revenge seeking team also, after the Cardinals embarressed the Panthers on their home field in the play-offs last season.

Arizona and Carolina basically have the same guys. I like the Cardinals at home in this one.

On Monday Night Football, we have the NFC South showdown between Atlanta and New Orleans. Give the edge to the home team in this one, just slightly.

New England, Pittsburgh,Cincinnati, Kansas City,Tampa Bay, and Washington are on their bye week.

enjoy the halfway point in the NFL season.
