Chiefs' Mahomes Dilemma 🤔

Different Faces, Same Old Horror Story

When will this organization eventually learn from past misfortune and mistakes?

When will the organization learn to to put team first and not individuals?

The coaching staff is responsible for not making the necessary moves to provide an opportunity to win the game yesterday. They didn't make the correct moves in the offseason, nor in the game itself.

With all of the injury issues they experienced with Kris Jenkins last season, and knowing the importance and impact he has on the defense and organization, wouldn't you think that was something that could have been addressed in the offseason by getting a capable reserve or replacement through free agency or the draft?

Instead, management spends the past few drafts trying to key on a very few personnel players that look like they will take longer than desired to get results. Instead of using the draft to optimize their chances of getting multiple players to help the organization get younger and better, they trade a great majority of their picks the past few years to acquire a higher pick, which resulted in obtaining less players and so far has net the organization less quality results.

I have yet to see Dustin Keller make an impact for an entire game. Shone Greene has received minimal minutes. Mark Sanchez needs time to grow and learn. The only one that is an actual impact player is Darrel Revis. Have those been draft picks well spent?

It's time to wake up, management.

Watching that team loose to the Buffalo Bills was horrific. We should not have to listen to any excuses from the coaching staff on how the players played or didn't make adjustments to situations or make a stop when one was necessary. How about the staff making a move and changing the QB when clearly he was having a horrible day and a change was needed for the benefit of the team?

The Jets looked like they time-warped back to the Herm Edwards-Paul Hackett days. They rush the ball for over 300 yards on the day and during critical times are still throwing the ball, to the wrong team in most cases.

Why do they always go away from what's working in critical times? Do they honestly think perhaps this time they will be able to stop the run? Let's stop trying to surprise the other team's defense with plays and stick to something that's working, because it seems we are surprising our own players by calling those plays. Haven't you learned from past history?

We don't want to hear the coaching staff say they didn't want to take him out because it may hamper his ability to develop and it's possible his confidence would be damaged. He looked lost the entire game; he couldn't handle the playing conditions and make any type of positive play.

Why not make a change to a capable replacement for the remainder of the game and go to your backup? That is part of his responsibilities, to be on call and ready when needed. Well, yesterday the offense needed him. The defense needed him to get some rest and get off the field, instead of having to play over five extra unnecessary possessions, and the team needed him in general to provide a spark and hope that they have a chance to win the game.

Management and coaching staff need to think of the team in general and not individuals, and that was clearly exposed yesterday. This thinking needs to be resolved now before it starts to spiral out of control. The team has opportunities to correct their division and conference standings in the next few weeks and be able to stay in the playoff race. That is still within their grasp, but is unfortunately slowly slipping away.

I see that there are still a few picks left for 2011 and 2012, perhaps they can be relinquished before the deadline as we apparently have no need or use for them; let's just give them away.

Learn from past mistakes and correct the situation before it gets worse, please, so that we Jet fans can get rid of this nauseous feeling we carry with us every Monday.
