Something very special happened on Oct. 18, 2009.

The Oakland Raiders won a game that most folks thought would be lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Well, isn't it interesting that a pigeon was on the field during the game between the Raiders and the Eagles?

Is it that the pirates had a little help from above?

It is also true that pirates often are pictured with a bird on their shoulders. Well, this bird looked like he was ushering the Raiders to a phenomenal victory against their opponents.

So again, just like David knocked down Goliath, the spirit that a pigeon can represent knocked down an eagle, a supposedly stronger bird.

The pigeon is also a messenger, so the history books tell us. The message yesterday was, "Watch out, the Raiders are getting strong and forceful again."

I know you may not understand this type of talk. But, did we put the pigeon on the field and in the video which documents its presence? No.

Another time in the sacred books, a bird came down and symbolized "approval and love for the Son of God." Might there be a message for us in the Raider Nation and beyond?

I think so. One message is, "Be careful how you taunt and jab at the ones who appear to be down and out. Once down, but now up. Once blind, but now we see."

Have a powerful and wonderful day, Raider Nation, Oakland Raiders, and all of you who have been favored by God, at this time.
