Chelsea vs. Inter: 2017 ICC Time, TV Schedule and Live Stream

Tom SunderlandJul 27, 2017

Italian powerhouse Inter Milan will face off against Chelsea on Saturday as the Singapore section of the 2017 International Champions Cup comes to a close.

The clash at the National Stadium in Kallang will bring an end to the three-game series in south-east Asia, and Inter are aiming to preserve a 100 per cent record in the tournament after they beat Bayern Munich 2-0 on Wednesday.

The Blues, meanwhile, lost 3-2 to Bayern in their only ICC matchup of the summer and will be desperate to avoid finishing the competition without a win to their name.

After sitting out most of last season as a fringe option, striker Michy Batshuayi has emerged as something of a star for Chelsea in pre-season, netting twice in a 3-0 demolition of Arsenal before scoring in the defeat to Bayern in midweek.

The trouble for him is club-record £60 million signing Alvaro Morata now needs game time, and the Spaniard gave the impression he's settling in well with his Spanish compatriot after making his debut off the bench against Die Roten:

Morata wasn't able to make his mark against Bayern, having only come on for the final 30 minutes of the meeting, but a start against Inter could be the opportunity the former Juventus player needs to get his account up and running.

But Batshuayi has also thrived on the chances offered to him by Conte this summer, and the Italian chief recently stirred some controversy when giving his verdict on whom his ideal signing might be, per Eurosport UK:

The Nerazzurri will be no stranger to Conte, nor will Inter coach Spalletti, who was already an established managerial mind among Italy's top flight when Conte hung up his playing boots with Juve.

With only one defeat from five pre-season outings, it seems as though life at Inter is off to a promising start for Spalletti following his exit from AS Roma in May, and the recent win over Bayern will have lifted their moods no doubt.

Eder's brace led the Nerazzurri to a convincing victory against the Bundesliga brutes on Wednesday, although Spalletti's men were far from the most testing in attack, as shown by OptaPaolo:

A defence led by newly confirmed Chelsea captain Gary Cahill will look to ensure Inter don't make the most of those chances next time out, while Morata, Batshuayi and Co. will strive to pose more of a threat.

Pre-season results may mean little in the grand scheme of things, but Chelsea should be gasping to grab a result in an effort to prove their American training camp this summer was all for nought.
