Kylian Mbappe Contact Reportedly Made by Barcelona Amid Neymar-to-PSG Rumours
Barcelona have reportedly revived their interest in signing AS Monaco's Kylian Mbappe and have "made renewed contact for" the teenager as Paris Saint-Germain move closer to capturing Neymar.
According to Le Parisien (via Get French Football News), PSG are increasingly confident they can snap up Barcelona's Brazilian superstar:

And Mbappe could be a fine replacement for Neymar.
It was previously reported by Sami Mokbel in the Daily Mail that Barca would pursue Mbappe should they lose Neymar to PSG in a mooted £196 million deal.
Selling Neymar would raise enough cash for Barca to be in with a chance of snapping up the 18-year-old French forward, whose value has been quoted at £161 million in reports linking him with Real Madrid, per James Ducker in the Telegraph.

Given that Neymar has formed one of the great attacking units of all time with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at the Camp Nou, it is likely Barca's ideal scenario would be to see the 25-year-old remain at the club.
But with reports suggesting he is nearing the exit door, it is little surprise the Catalan club's interest in Mbappe has been revived.
Per Squawka, the France international enjoyed a spectacular breakout season in 2016-17 as he helped Monaco win Ligue 1 and reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League:
He can operate as a central striker, a No. 10 and on the flanks, so he could replace Neymar in Barca's front line effectively.
It would be a risk for Barca to shell out huge money on a player who has only proved himself over one season in the French top flight.
But Mbappe has shown enormous potential and could even be an eventual upgrade on Neymar depending on how he progresses.
