Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio
Real Madrid could yet sign Eden Hazard of Chelsea as they attempt to replenish their stock of superstars in the Spanish capital.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Madridista (h/t Jack Otway of the Daily Express), Los Blancos might still be interested in the player despite his current recovery from ankle surgery.
Per James Whaling of The Mirror, the attacking midfielder is back in training after breaking his ankle playing for Belgium this summer. The mercurial figure has been linked with a switch to Real on multiple occasions, but he will not be fit for the first day of the new season.

Per Whalling, Hazard expressed his desire for the immediate future: "Hopefully, next year it is the same—we win the league and then I win Player of the Year. Obviously winning the league is what we want most and the award is just a bonus."
Hazard added:
"After five years, I know everything about the club. Even if I’m still only 26, I have a lot of experience now. I started playing at 16 in France, so I’ve been professional for 10 years. In terms of games and experience, I’m one of the oldest ones.I like this club because it’s like a family. I have a lot of friends and we all talk to each other."
The 26-year-old wizard led his club to the English title after scoring 16 goals and creating five assists in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.com.

Rehabilitation will continue for the Belgian, and no deal will be completed while the player is on the shelf. If Real want him in the future, a switch in January could be an option for both parties if the motivation is present.
In other Real news, Manchester United want to capture Marco Asensio after Los Blancos targeted Marcus Rashford.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol (h/t Jack Otway of the Daily Express) reported United are "angry" with Real for targeting their striker and will play the UEFA Champions League holders at their own game by offering Asensio a chance to move to the Premier League.

Asensio has blossomed in the past 12 months, and he has a strong future with the Spanish champions if he continues his exciting development.
However, the potential arrival of Hazard could see the attacker slip down the pecking order, and a switch to United would be a viable option.
Hazard has achieved everything he's desired in England, and the pull of Real could be telling in future.
However, as he recovers from injury, it is more likely he will remain at Stamford Bridge in the short term.
