Kylian Mbappe in Monaco Contract Talks Amid Real Madrid, Manchester City Rumours

Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev has said the Ligue 1 champions are in discussions to extend the contract of Kylian Mbappe.

Get French Football News quoted Vasilyev after interest in the striker from Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Vasilyev declared: "We are in the process of discussing a contract extension. I hope we reach an agreement."

James Ducker of The Telegraph said City manager Pep Guardiola wants to sign the France international, but the Premier League club believe Los Blancos will win the race for his signature.

Real could break the world record for his transfer, as Marca (h/t Ducker) reported Madrid have agreed in principle a £161 million fee with the French side for their jewel in the crown.

The 18-year-old scored 15 times and created eight assists in Ligue 1 last term, according to WhoScored.com.
