Liverpool Will Reportedly Reject £72 Million Offer for Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool reportedly are set to reject a £72 million offer from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho.
Pete Jenson of the Daily Mail noted that the Reds believe the bid undervalues their attacking midfielder in the current market. The Camp Nou giants see the Brazil international as Andres Iniesta's long-term replacement.
It is not the first time the 25-year-old has been linked with a switch to the Catalan team, with the player previously dismissing talk of a move away from Merseyside.

According to ESPN Brasil (h/t Samuel Lovett of The Independent), Coutinho said at the end of last season his sole focus is on manager Jurgen Klopp's ambitions:
"I have a long contract with Liverpool. Speculation is for journalists only. We started the season very well, I started well. But then in the middle the performance regressed. Then we bounced back, I finished the season at a high level. The whole team is playing well, today was a very important victory, next season it's the Champions League."
Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph reported Klopp has no plans to sell the Brazilian for any fee, with the German coach saying in May: "There are absolutely no plans (to sell him). What our owners say is there is the absolute opportunity not to sell anybody if we do not want to. That means we can bring in others players and it is a good situation."
Coutinho has developed into one of the Premier League's most dynamic players, and his style perfectly complements the needs of Barca as they rebuild for the future.
