Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti Reportedly Wanted by Barcelona If Neymar Joins PSG
Barcelona will reportedly move for AS Monaco's Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti should they sell Neymar in a world-record deal this summer.
According to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, PSG are "growing confident" of wrapping up a deal for Neymar worth an astonishing £196 million. Consequently, Barca are said to be considering potential reinforcements, with Mbappe and Verratti on the club's radar.
If Neymar were to move to PSG, it'd be an extraordinary capture and a major coup for the Ligue 1 side. As noted below, they've already snapped up Dani Alves in this transfer window:

According to Mokbel, Neymar's father and representatives for the French club will soon hold further discussions about the possible switch. And while confidence is said to be on the rise a deal can be brokered, those tied to PSG are reportedly keeping calm on the prospect of signing Neymar.
"Although the wheels are in motion, club officials in Paris remain cautious," Mokbel said. "They believed they were on the cusp of landing Neymar last summer, only for the 25-year-old to change his mind at the last minute and sign a new deal at the Nou Camp."
The report states Neymar would earn a whopping £596,000 per week after tax if he were to join PSG. Football journalist Guillem Balague is unsure as to whether this deal will come off, though:
Neymar's departure would leave Barcelona short in attack. Even with the imperious Lionel Messi and incisive Luis Suarez up top, the Brazilian adds levels of thrust, flair and composure few in the game can match.
Mbappe could bring those qualities to the Camp Nou, especially if he continues on the upward curve he sensationally plotted out last season.

The 18-year-old was crucial in Monaco's Ligue 1 title charge and came alive in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League. However, as noted by Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports News HQ, Barcelona's bitter rivals Real Madrid seem to be positioning themselves to move for Mbappe:
With such a massive amount of money potentially coming in for the sale of Neymar, Barcelona could also strengthen other areas of their squad. Verratti would be an ideal man to add quality to midfield.
Meanwhile, as reported on ESPN.co.uk, Verratti has appointed Mino Raiola as his agent; the representative has helped broker big-money moves for Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in recent seasons.

Tom Coast of Sport Witness doesn't feel as though Raiola's appointment necessarily means Verratti will be on the move this summer, though:
Even if Barcelona were able to beat Madrid to Mbappe and secure the signing of Verratti, they'd arguably be worse off without Neymar.
Given his age, natural talent and tendency to show his best in the biggest games, there's arguably no player in football more valuable than Neymar. With that in mind, the Blaugrana must do what they can to convince him to spend the best years of his career in Catalonia.
