Manchester United Transfer News: Bayern Alter Renato Sanches Stance Amid Rumours
Bayern Munich executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has spoken about a possible permanent transfer of reported Manchester United target Renato Sanches after previously admitting a loan was likely.
Per Metro's Louis Sealey, Rummenigge said the Portugal international is unlikely to see much playing time next season, and a switch to a new club could occur:
"He [Renato Sanches] won’t have lot of game [time] next season and we are open to discuss his possible sale.

"We can sell him on loan or on a permanent deal, I am not the manager but I believe Renato needs regular game time.
"AC Milan are interested in signing him, I can confirm that, but talks have been put on hold after last week’s meeting."

Per the report, United were interested in the midfielder before he moved to Germany last summer, and manager Jose Mourinho could revive his interest.
The former Benfica man was one of the top breakout performers of the 2015-16 campaign and impressed during UEFA Euro 2016, leading to plenty of foreign interest. He moved to Bavaria for £30 million but didn't feature much in his first season in the Bundesliga.

This summer, he barely left the bench for Portugal's under-21 team, showing just how far he's fallen in one season. A change of scenery seems necessary, especially after the arrival of James Rodriguez.
According to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol, Milan are pushing hard for his signature, hoping to sign the player on loan with an option:
A loan would be ideal for the 19-year-old, with Bayern still hopeful he could make an impact at the Allianz Arena. United aren't in the business of developing other clubs' players for them, however―if they sign Sanches, it will be as a building block for the future.
The Red Devils could use another strong man in midfield to pair with Paul Pogba, and Sanches could be an ideal target if he's given the time to regain his confidence and develop into the player people believe he could become.
The price could be a sticking point, as Bayern will, at the very least, want to make a profit after signing the player just last summer. Rummenigge said a fee of €48 million (roughly £42.5 million) should suffice.
