Arsenal Transfer News: Jack Wilshere Offer Reportedly Made by Sampdoria
Sampdoria have made a £6 million bid for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, along with a further £1.5 million in add-ons.
That's according to Sky in Italy (h/t Sky Sports News HQ), with Wilshere now in the final year of his deal at the Emirates Stadium.
He spent last season on loan with Bournemouth in a bid to regain form and fitness, but a fractured leg ended his campaign in April.

The 25-year-old made 29 Premier League appearances last season—his most since the 2010-11 campaign—and he started 22 of those matches.
His promising career has stalled in recent years because of his susceptibility to injuries.
According to Transfermarkt, Wilshere has missed 154 games through injury over the course of his Arsenal career, not including the five games he was absent for at Bournemouth following his fracture.
As such, it wouldn't be surprising if the Gunners were to part with him this summer, but Sampdoria's bid appears to be below their asking price, per Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol:
It's not too far away, though, so the clubs may be able to come to an agreement.
While even £9 million may seem a low figure in today's market for a player of Wilshere's obvious ability, his injury record makes him a significant gamble for any team willing to take him on, so he's unlikely to command a hefty fee.
Wilshere's own willingness to move to a club that finished 10th in Serie A last season will also be a factor, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger expects him to stay put.
Per Sky Sports, he said: "I think Jack will be with Arsenal next season, yes. I will give you a very focused answer on that. He has to work hard to come back and fight for a place in the team. But once he is ready, when he comes back, he will not be far from practising with the team."
Indeed, given the England international is unlikely to fetch much of a fee, it's understandable if Arsenal opt to keep him.
If Wilshere is able to regain form and fitness, he could be a useful asset; if he is unable to and ends up being released for free next summer, the club haven't lost a huge amount.
