Manchester United Reportedly Consider Final Eric Dier Bid of £60M
Manchester United are reportedly considering offering Tottenham Hotspur £60 million in a final attempt to sign midfielder Eric Dier.
According to the Mirror's James Nursey, though, the Manchester giants do not hold a huge amount of hope of snapping up the Englishman, as Spurs continue to resist their advances.
Nursey added United manager Jose Mourinho is eager to sign a new holding midfielder, but the Red Devils may have to switch their attention to secondary target Nemanja Matic of Chelsea, as Spurs have been steadfast in their refusal to consider bids for Dier.

The north London outfit's reluctance to sell the 23-year-old is unsurprising. He has started 71 of Tottenham's 76 Premier League games since the start of the 2015-16 season and is adept both as a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.
Per Squawka, since joining Spurs from Sporting CP in 2014 he has also shown marked improvement, and he is only likely to get better:
According to Nursey, Dier would be open to a move to United.
But, while that is boost for the Red Devils, the fact is Tottenham have no good reason to sell Dier, especially as they have just had their coffers boosted by the £50 million sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
