Bayern Munich Transfer News: AC Milan Interested in Renato Sanches

Bayern Munich have confirmed AC Milan want their midfield prodigy Renato Sanches.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild (h/t Football Italia), Bayern supremo Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the San Siro giants want the player on a two-year loan with an option to buy at the end of the deal.

Rummenigge said: "I can confirm that Milan have shown interest in Renato Sanches, but there is no agreement yet."

According to Sky Sports, Milan want their option to buy to be set at €40 million—just €5 more than Bayern paid 12 months ago.

Sanches arrived in Germany to great fanfare last season, fresh from Portugal's success at UEFA Euro 2016.

The midfielder was viewed as one of the planet's top youngsters, but his time in the Bundesliga has been a frustrating period.

Sanches made just six starts in the Bundesliga last term, according to WhoScored.com, and he failed to establish himself in a high-class midfield.

Per German publication Kicker (h/t Anthony Chapman of The Sun), Manchester United continue to monitor the young star as coach Jose Mourinho considers partners for Paul Pogba in his midfield.

The 19-year-old could become one of the buys of the summer if Bayern decide to move him on rather than develop his undoubted talents.
