Is it the bad play? The overthrown balls? Coming into camp overweight? Reportedly laughing at fans outside of Mcafee stadium after one of his friends talks trash out of his car? Wearing the stupid hats? Not seeing a lineman coming at you and not from the blindside but right in your face? All of these things are a major cause for concern, but the most alarming thing about Jamarcus is that he looks like he doesnt care at all. After a sack, fumble or int he just trots off the field and puts on his beanie and takes a seat. The lack of fire in him is in fact why he think he will be and is a bust. Its not the bad play or the poor stats. This whole team is a mess and we cant expect any QB to prosper in this mess period. I never once have seen JR get into anyones face. Hell even rookie DHB has gotten into JR's face earlier in the year after being overthrown repeatedly in the Denver game. When a team is as bad as the Raiders are right now they need a vocal leader at QB. Someone they can follow and want to play good for. Someone they want to block for and someone the respect. A few former Raider QB's had that fire- Jeff the Hoss was not the most talented QB the raiders ever had but he did have that fire in him, I remember in a monday night game Junior Seau stepped on his hand either on accident or on purpose and what did Hoss do he went over to the Chargers sideline and chucked the ball right at him. Now would Russell ever do such a thing? Another QB is Gannon, another QB who couldnt throw a mile and wasnt huge like JR. No he just had guts and put in the time and rallied guys to play better. We need a tough QB that may not be able to throw the ball 50 yards while sitting down but a QB that is a leader and has a voice. Some fans have called for the Raiders to draft Tebow. Is he the answer who knows but one thing i do like about the kid is that he plays with emotion and people follow him. Now with that translate into the pro's? Only time will tell. I think most Raider fans call for Tebow because they are tired of looking at a QB play with no passion at all.
