Stephen Curry Records Triple-Double in NBA Finals for 1st Time in Career
In addition to helping give the Golden State Warriors a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals, Stephen Curry recorded the first postseason triple-double of his career, per Warriors PR.
Curry finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in Golden State's 132-113 victory.
The Warriors' general dominance in the series so far somewhat overshadowed Curry's performance. At one point in the fourth quarter, it looked like Curry was catching up on his sleep on the sideline, per CBS Sports:

Still, this year's Finals has the potential to be somewhat redemptive for the two-time MVP.
During Golden State's 2015 Finals win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Curry didn't perform well enough to earn MVP honors in the series. He averaged 26.0 points a game, but his 6.3 assists were below his season average (7.7). He also shot worse from three-point range in the Finals (38.5 percent) compared to his regular-season production (44.3 percent).
As the Warriors blew a 3-1 series lead in last year's Finals, Curry wasn't himself as he dealt with a nagging ankle injury he suffered against the Houston Rockets in the first round.
Through the first two games of the 2017 Finals, Curry has scored 60 points and made 10 of his 22 attempts from beyond the arc.
Somewhat ironically, however, Curry might still lose out on Finals MVP despite his improved performance. Kevin Durant posted a double-double Sunday night (33 points, 13 rebounds) after dropping 38 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the Warriors' Game 1 victory.
Through two games, Durant arguably has pole position on MVP.
