All week the Jets defense was talked up about how its the tough Rex Ryan defense with its fancy blitzes. That couldn't have been the furthest thing from the truth. They looked flat and made an inexperienced QB in his second start tear them up. They did not get a sack for the second consecutive game. They barley even got near him. Some pressure there. The wildcat ripped the face off the Jets so called defense, if you can even call it that and made them look foolish. With the game on the line the wildcat ran over Jenkins and the rest of the Jets defense.
Sanchez didn't look horrible. He managed the game alright with a couple miscues but he was certainly outplayed by Chad Henne. Braylon Edwards made some great catches. One for a TD and another amazing grab first ruled a TD that was then challanged by Miami and ruled out of bounds at the half yard line. For the future this looks like it will help, but its still a painful loss.
As a Jets fan I should have expected this. Just like a politician its another Jets coach that promises all of these great things and builds up the hope of its supporters and then fails to deliver. Rex Ryan has a lot of explaining to do after a fast 3-0 start with hopes of the playoffs, to consecutive losses with horrible defensive play.
Its the pessimistic quality of the Jets nation that leaves us speechless when we constantly watch the team fail right after they give us hope. It is the reason why we are so quick to turn negative. Sparano said the Jets are " a good football team, well coached". Yeah that's great, but we don't want sympathy. We want the Jets to win football games.
Rex Ryan said, " It was an imberrasment" and "took full responsibilty" for the "horendus, horendus day for the defense". He said he's "never been part of a game like that". Well it better not happed again Rex Lyin.
I'm pissed off. Way to go Rex. Some defense, giving up over 260 yards in the air and 150 yards on the ground. It better improve your you will be REXECUTED from your position as Jets Head Coach.
