Paul George Says Lance Stephenson Must Control Body Language After Game 2 Loss
Paul George was not happy with Indiana Pacers teammate Lance Stephenson after the team's Game 2 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated captured the postgame comments:
"We all know that Lance is an emotional guy," George added. "... He's just gotta channel that and put it towards making effort plays on the court and doing whatever he needs for us to succeed."
Stephenson scored 16 points in 26 minutes off the bench, but at times was a distraction for his team.
At one point in the third quarter, Pacers coach Nate McMillan tried to contain the 26-year-old:
Per ESPN Stats and Info, Cavaliers players shot 9-of-13 for 27 points when defended by Stephenson.
The guard appeared in just six games for Indiana during the regular season after failing to stick with the New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves. It's clear he can be a valuable contributor in the postseason, but he has to make sure the positives outweigh the negatives.
