Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported Sunday that Rose was expected to miss the rest of the 2016-17 NBA season with the knee injury. Today's update confirms the news.
K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune noted Dr. Brian Cole, who performed the procedure, is the Chicago Bulls' team physician and handled the guard's previous knee surgeries.
Rose, whose career has been derailed due to an extensive injury history, last played in the Knicks' 109-95 victory over the Detroit Pistons on March 27 at Madison Square Garden.
