Ravens Need Smith Healthy for Playoff Push
Through nine games, Smith recorded 24 total tackles with two passes defended.
Smith has developed into a stalwart member of the Ravens defense since the franchise selected him in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft. The Colorado product is in his fourth season as a starter in the secondary after spending his first two years as a depth corner.
On the injury front, the 28-year-old veteran has been mostly durable since becoming a full-time player, missing just eight games over the previous three seasons. Those all came in 2014 because of a foot injury. More recently, he sat out part of the Ravens' Week 6 game against the New York Giants after suffering a concussion.
