New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady walked out of Wednesday's meeting with reporters after being asked about Donald Trump's lewd comments about women captured in a 2005 video.

Joe Giza of WBZ-TV captured a video of the exchange:

"Tom, you have kids of your own. How would you respond if your kids heard Donald Trump's version of locker room talk?" a reporter asked.

"Thank you guys," Brady replied. "Have a good day."

Trump, the Republican nominee for president, came under fire Friday, when a video of a 2005 conversation with entertainer Billy Bush leaked to the Washington Post.

In the video, Trump described an attempt to move on a married woman, while he was married himself, and described his ability to sexually assault women without consequences:

"

“And when you’re a star, they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”

“Whatever you want,” says another voice, apparently Bush’s.

“Grab them by the p---y,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”

"

Trump has since apologized for the remarks, which he called "locker room talk." They were a central point of discussion in Sunday's second presidential debate against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Brady was one of Trump's earliest celebrity supporters. A hat depicting Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan was sitting in Brady's locker during the 2015 season, and he publicly endorsed his friend in September 2015.

“I hope so. That would be great," Brady said when asked if Trump would win the election, per Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. "There’d be a putting green on the White House lawn. I'm sure of that."

Brady and Trump are longtime golfing buddies, dating back more than a decade. He's since distanced himself a bit as Trump's controversial campaign has continued, though he did say in December he supported Trump as a friend.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, who has publicly endorsed Clinton, denounced Trump's explanation Wednesday.

"What is locker room talk to me? It's not what that guy said," James told reporters, per Andy Clayton of the New York Daily News. "We don't disrespect women in no shape or fashion in our locker room. ... That never comes up. I've got a mother-in-law, a wife, a mom and a daughter. Those conversations just don't go on in our locker room."

Trump's comments are drawing polarized reactions, which is seemingly par for the course. Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman found NFL locker rooms were divided down racial lines regarding the upcoming election. Each of the 21 white players Freeman surveyed said he planned to vote for Trump, while 20 of the 22 black players were planning to vote for Clinton.
